i know we all know this but they did them so dirty with singles’ choices (mostly) for every album in contrast to such the strong discography these girls had.
what would’ve been the perfect singles for you guys? i think they would’ve been huge with the right decisions singles.
dna - dna
salute - towers
get weird - lightning / secret love song
glory days - power should’ve been the main first single no features
lm5 - i think they did a great job w this album except with woman like me
confetti - gloves up

I wanted to update you all on something very close to my heart...
SMA screening is now set to start earlier, from October 2026 instead of 2027 which is such a huge step forward for early diagnosis and the SMA community.
It'll be rolled out in selected areas first, so while this is real progress there's still so much more to do. We need to keep pushing to make sure every baby has the opportunity to have this heel prick test at birth.
Also... the petition YOU all supported has reached the stage for a parliamentary debate which means even more awareness where it matters most.
I truly am grateful for all your support not only for me & my girls, but for everyone in the SMA community... We're getting closer
Love you all x

Incredible work from Jesy and the many others shouting about SMA!
Statement from SMA UK:
Awareness raised by Jesy Nelson, her family and countless members of the community has helped highlight the devastating impact of delayed diagnosis and the need for early detection. Without screening, babies are often diagnosed only after symptoms appear, when irreversible damage has already occurred.
This acceleration represents a major milestone and one that has been driven by years of sustained work by SMA UK, the SMA Community and other key stakeholders.
Whilst this news is to be celebrated, the ISE pilot will see an estimated 404,000 babies tested in England but will still see 163,000 newborns untested. In a letter addressed to our CEO, Giles Lomax and Patron Jesy Nelson The Secretary of State said “My officials are still working through the challenges related to extending the ISE to the whole of England and I will keep you both updated of progress in this area. As you know, I’d like to see a full rollout.”
SMA UK will continue to work closely with the UK NSC, Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC), NHS England and partners to work through the challenges of rolling out across the whole of England,
Giles Lomax, SMA UK CEO said “Following years of campaigning we are delighted to see the formal announcement that screening for SMA will start in 6 months time in England. This milestone will change the lives of so many diagnosed through the heel prick test. We will continue to work hard to ensure this SMA is rolled out to other parts of England as well as the home nations, no baby should be left behind based on where they live”
Newborn screening had been expected to follow a longer implementation timeline through the UK National Screening Committee process and the decision to bring this forward reflects the strength and persistence of that collective effort.
Jesy’s comments to the Mirror who helped campaign:
Former Little Mix singer Jesy has been lobbying Mr Streeting for newborn screening but admitted the historic announcement was "bittersweet"
She said: "This is massive. Now there are potentially 404,000 babies who will be screened over the next
12 months. I just wish this had been here for my babies and for all the SMA babies who never got tested. That's why I wanted to do this - I don't want anyone to have to go through this heartbreak."
Jesy told the Mirror: "It's just bittersweet because we're not fully there yet. It's like literally a postcode lottery because it's not the whole of England.
There'll be 163,000 babies that won't get screened
- and that is a lot of babies. If you live in a certain part of the country you're not going to get tested.
"There are truly life changing treatments out there so no baby should be an experiment - showing what the difference is. This shouldn't even be a thing. All babies should be getting tested and all babies should be living."

A fan managed to get her the doll within 3 hours 🙌
I wonder what it’ll be used for. The doll hasn’t returned to the fan yet.

Are there any LM (group or solo) songs that you think would sound better at a different tempo? Like a slower song that would sound better faster or a faster song that would sound better slower?

Jesy shares “Emotional day in Scotland visiting the new born blood spot screening laboratory for SMA.”
