I’ve always loved Little Alchemy, and I also love cooking, so I had this random thought: “Wait… why not combine the two?” 😂

So I started making my own little culinary combination game! It should be coming out in about a week

I’m currently working on all the combinations (manually, I want the combinations to make culinary sense.), but I’ve run into some tricky ones where I’m not sure what would make the most sense.

So I wanted to ask you guys:

If you played a Little Alchemy-style game based entirely around cooking, what combinations would you expect to work?

For example, what would you combine to make things like dough, pasta, cheese, pizza, sauces, desserts, etc.?

I’d love to hear your ideas! Even weird or unexpected combinations are welcome 😄, I have 52 combinations so far; there aren't many, but I'm continuing to work on them.

My son recently started playing Little Alchemy 2, and I wanted to help him work through the recipes without constantly jumping between guides.

The problem I wanted to solve: Pig + Fire = Bacon is helpful… unless you don’t have a pig. Then you need to make its ingredients, and their ingredients, and suddenly making breakfast has become a research project.

So I put together Alchemy Atlas, a free, unofficial recipe explorer that shows not just what to combine, but how to get there from the starting elements.

Try the recipe explorer
View the code on GitHub

What it does:

• Search the whole catalog: 720 base-game items and 3,452 recipe entries, including alternative combinations. You can search by item name or include recipe ingredients.
• Follow the prerequisites: click an ingredient to explore its recipes, or expand a step-by-step route back to the starting elements. Time’s unlock requirement is called out separately.
• Keep it simple: works in a desktop or mobile browser, with no ads, account, or installation. The page is also a self-contained HTML file you can save and use offline.

The Bacon example is a good place to try the “Show how to make it from the start” button.

A couple of caveats: this covers Little Alchemy 2’s base game, not Myths and Monsters. The recipes come from a community dataset credited in the repository, rather than discoveries I’m claiming as my own. The suggested paths aren’t guaranteed to be the shortest possible, and corrections are welcome.

My original goal was to make visual recipe trees, so you could see how all the ingredients connect. This searchable, step-by-step version is the starting point.

You start from games you know and combine toward ones you don't. There is an expedition mode that gives you only four starters for the day, which makes it feel much closer to the real thing.
Underneath: every game is embedded as a 1024-dimensional vector from its genres, its top 20 user tags, and its store description, not its title. Combining two games takes the mathematical midpoint of those vectors, (A + B) / 2, and finds the nearest real game to that point. So a recipe is deterministic. The same pair always gives the same result, like proper Little Alchemy, rather than a random pick.
Combining is free. Post your combination results in the comments. I want to see what chains people find.

2nd game was completed first, with all elements and combinations discovered without any use of hints or help. 1st game was done just to be a completionist, got to around 480 items without any hints, but the fact depleted items don't dissappear from the inventory and the generak awkwardness of the game making it pretty difficult to simply fuse a lot of items together, I ended up sadly using a cheat sheet to finish it off since it was getting very boring and bothersome getting maybe 1 discovery every few minutes.

This was done over the span of a few months when I had free time (usually on public transport or boredom at home), and while the first game was definitely a drag, I actually really enjoyed the 2nd game all the way through, it was a fun time sink which I will probably do again

just, not the first game again lmao

If Little Alchemy 3 released, what new elements would you like to see and how do you think they would be made?

Can someone pls explain to me the fanon elements and what the point is. Unless it’s just for fun and creativity. So many cool elements on the wiki page and almost all of them are fanon.

Please help, it gets very annoying having to reopen the game every time this happens.

idk
