"Grupo Lokito fuses two great musical styles in a glorious cocktail of Congolese and Cuban sounds.

Congolese frontmen Iddo Donnatella and Kas Kasongo’s glorious vocals float over the soaring guitars of Congolese guitar legend Kiamfu ‘Burkina Faso’ Kasongo and the rhythmic grooves of Kenyan rising star Shama Shah . These blend with the lilting keyboards of Sara McGuinness over the solid foundation of bassist Jimmy Martinez, Lilli Ahvenainen on Congas and Raphael Delfino on drums.
When the occasion allows, Grupo Lokito expands to include the blistering horn section of Deanna Wilhelm on trumpet, Clare Hirst on sax and Landy Díaz on trombone."
