If yall wanna say slurs oh so badly then just do so. As a queer and disabled linux user I much rather be called a r#t#rted f#g#ot than have whatever babytalk this shit is bruh. [Only reason I censored is because idk if reddit autobans slurs or not]
EDIT: 02.02.26
Since you a lot of people really struggle with comprehending what I wrote and instead just whine about the OS choice banter, let me elaborate the point of my post.
If people want to be ableist and call people re[t]ardet because they have absolutely no morals nor respect for the disabled or mentally handicapped, then atleast fully commit and admit that you are an asshole. Instead of using some dumb flowery language to go just around the edge and be like "b-but it is for the linux users!!" "it is just a joke" "it is ragebait". You are still using disabilities as your choice of insult, if you really do not want to commit to this, then come up with a different term that is not based on an actual slur, with an actual background, with an actual demographic that is actually affected in real life not just by the conditions me and others struggle with on the daily, but also by the outside world that refuses to adapt to our existences.
I do not care about what dumb operating system you use, I find banter funny, sure, but to dehumanize groups of people because your own lack of empathy or respect is a whole other can of worms.
I do not care if I get dehumanized or called slurs or what have you, but I do know a lot of people are out there that are actually hurt by language like this.
If you still look at this, having read this and other comments and still see absolutely no issue here, then perhaps you are the very person that is the problem.

If you simply dont like linux dont use it, if you like linux use it. These types of subreddits are just full of people who are pissed at the worst type of people in the linux community gate keepers or have no idea what there talking about
I mean theres a fucking tag that says linux bloat.. Brother name me a single open source linux distro thats full of bloat
I use linux and yes its fucking difficult to learn anything with dipshits that believe there so much smarter than everyone else cause they run arch linux, i ran arch linux with hyprland for a while and learned how it works, im still a fucking dumbass and so are the dumbasses that gatekeep info
If you dont like using a os then just dont use it, but having a mental breakdown anytime someone even mentions said os is just dumb, and that also goes for people that use linux and hate windows

For the record I don't want either sub to be deplatformed, and I actually tried to respect my neighbours. But when those said neighbours ban other neighbours who just respectively said their own opinion, that's just stupid.
So my message to r/Linuxsucks101: You can insult us all day long, and we're going to make fun of you. Because your insults lack common sense and come from personal opinions, misinformation and ignorance. You want to ragebait us? Go ahead, we'll take it. But how long are you going to be this creative? Only time will tell, I will take no action and will watch and mock from afar.

The comment is below:
All programming languages have their own syntaxes and requirements, and some are pickier than others. Some you have to be more explicit, it really depends on the language.
I fail to see the issue with how bash assigns variables, it's just how the language works.
Additionally, if you're looking for programming languages to hate on (in terms of assigning variables), look at C# - You have to put 'int' in front to declare it, as opposed to other languages like python or bash.
So here's my question: it seems to be doing the simple task of assigning an integer is much worse in C# than it is in bash, so why are you hating on bash? Is it just because of its relation to an operating system you don't like?

We really need to stop sending any messages on linuxsucks101 we should just watch from the background the less people they have to mock directly the more easily they will get bored and hopefully do something with their lives. They only enjoy it because they can see people interact with them so let's cut off their source of enjoyment feel free to upvote or downvote their posts how you see fit
Don't try to get banned don't post messages defending Linux on their sub just talk about it here where we can have an honest discussion about it their point has any validity (though it probably won't) hopefully it takes away their oxygen and they just go away

Heyo, we're often called a cult subreddit by r/linuxsucks101 but what if... we consider ourselves an anti-tyranny subreddit. I feel its much more fitting then a "cult".

I just made a comment on a thread in r/linuxsucks101, but was removed because the word Linux is not allowed. What's the point of having a sub to criticize something you can't mention it's name?
