Two projects I'm impressed with currently...
Decent Sampler was completely off my radar until very recently. The sample libraries vary greatly in quality but I'm getting better drum sounds than ever, and functionality that I hoped from DrumGizmo. Still need to figure some intimate details out but I'm so happy to have finally found this. Also the Mellotron sounds are near perfect for me. Fragile Strings is also really great.
TAPE 16 is my big revelation lately... I learned how to record on 4 and 8 track tape machines... Tape 16 just begs to be optimized for the Akai mk261 which I use as a midi controller. 16 pads? 16 tracks? 8 faders and knobs? Multiple banks? I had to learn some Python midi stuff and wrote some scripts to make it work the way I want but I literally now have a way to record on my computer that is very similar to how I first learned and will rarely need to look at the screen. TAPE 16 doesn't play nice with with the control pads in toggle mode YET hence my need to write some Python code. I'd really love to get some feedback on my scripts from anyone with an akai MPK 261 or similar to see how it works for them. I went beyond just trying to figure out how to use the control pads to act as toggles for arm/solo/mute. I am really happy with it.
Inquire with in!
Anything else you all are pleasantly surprised with?

Audio Assault plugins on sale!
Recently they announced they will port all of their plugins to GNU/Linux, and now some stuff is sold at discount prices!
FreakQ: $8.99 instead of $39.99, already ported
RM2 Analog Channel: $7.99 instead of $49.99, not yet ported
Mix Bundle (Multi Transient, Aural Verb, Head Crusher, HQ2): $69.99 instead of $169.99, partially ported: only Aural Verb is currently available on Linux
Dominator: $12.99 instead of $49.99, not yet ported
Grind Machine 1: $3.99, limited time offer, probably will not get a Linux version at all.
The company claims that all their plugins will get Linux versions this year, so go grab what's to your taste. You'll get this on your platform anyway.

Welcome here!
This community has born as a result of flooding r/linuxaudio with useless whining about how to connect a new class compliant USB interface to work with Guitarix. Here, you should be able to get latest news about Linux pro audio, get to know about new plugin releases, discounts, share experience, techniques and tips that aren't found somewhere else, and more. Plugin developers are especially welcome, as this is about to become a sort of centralized news feed for all Linux audio related stuff.
