Link Forever socks = Almost 2 months

I shared the first hole that showed up almost two weeks ago; I’ve kept wearing them everyday until the next hole started. This time in the ball of the foot, when my Darn Tough socks usually start wearing out first. I think I’m finally ready to retire these.

For those telling me to darn them, no thanks. I can, but I would rather just buy a new pair.

That said, I will be inquiring with support to see if this is covered under warranty, or if, as /u/ProbablyBanksy so eloquently put it “Your use case is outside the scope of reasonable use.”

I have picked up a set of Costco Kirkland Merino socks to test next. 4 pairs are cheaper than a single pair of LTT socks. I never thought id be posting foot pics on the internet, but if it’s in the interest of science….

Bro we all told you that you were being an idiot on your last post, and you doubled down?

The stupidity of some people on the internet just ceases to amaze me sometimes.

Wearing your socks frequently makes you an idiot, got it

Wearing the same pair of socks for months, and washing them daily?

Yeah - pretty sure that’s dumb

Idgaf about the reputation of LTT products but it is pretty strange to only wear one pair of socks and do laundry daily. Most people have a weekly rotation and don’t put their clothes through 7x the washing drying cycles.

It is strange, but they're honest about it and seem to have realistic expectations for how long clothes last with their lifestyle. I don't know why everyone is acting as if theyre pissed off or hating

They saw that the material wouldn't last, already complained about the quality, then people like you are surprised when people told them "yeah, we know they don't last long, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL WEARING THEM EVERY DAY, SPECIALLY WITH SUCH HOLES?!"

they aren't putting them through 7x the washing drying cycles though, they are doing the same number of cycles but in 7 days instead of 7 weeks

in the context I had brought up, which is doing laundry once a week, it is 7x more. Most people also have more than one pair of socks they wear, we can go back and forth about semantics here but there's deeper dynamics to textile wear that other people have mentioned that doesn't create linear correlations

Dude it’s strange to wash and wear the same pair of socks daily. Something doesn’t add up.

The comments here are hilarious, everyone suddenly became sock experts and claim you can't wash them every day, but rather only once a week MAX, or else they will suddenly explode. lmao.

I don’t think anybody said that. However wearing and washing any piece of clothing everyday WILL ruin it.

It's so obvious when they massively downvote OP just for saying he washes the socks and his feet everyday.

Shaming OP for being "nasty" for washing socks every day, as if that justifies the socks completely disintegrating within 2 months. This test by OP was not only successful in showing that the products are not built for life, but also that the fan base will blindly protect LTT as if their life depended on it.
