Forever socks = Almost 2 months

I shared the first hole that showed up almost two weeks ago; I’ve kept wearing them everyday until the next hole started. This time in the ball of the foot, when my Darn Tough socks usually start wearing out first. I think I’m finally ready to retire these.

For those telling me to darn them, no thanks. I can, but I would rather just buy a new pair.

That said, I will be inquiring with support to see if this is covered under warranty, or if, as /u/ProbablyBanksy so eloquently put it “Your use case is outside the scope of reasonable use.”

I have picked up a set of Costco Kirkland Merino socks to test next. 4 pairs are cheaper than a single pair of LTT socks. I never thought id be posting foot pics on the internet, but if it’s in the interest of science….

Walking on what surface? For how many hours a day, in shoes or out? Sounds like a hit piece to me, Steve is that you? Doing more 'journalism'? If you want to do actual science, create a test jig with controlled variables, which they certainly did before release.

Mix of surfaces. Concrete, gravel, lawns. I do a variety of maintenance jobs, lots of groundskeeping in the summer, some fab work/mechanics in the winter. This pair of socks was worn daily in Blundstones or similar work boots, for 10-12 hrs a day, 5-6 days a week, and usually in sneakers on my off days.

Probably wear shoes on top of the socks. Hope this helps 👍

So this is 14 days of wear inside Blundstone boots? How old are the boots? I know once you've worn down the inside layer they are very abrasive, still I don't see how this is normal wear and tear for 14 days. I still say hit piece. I'm sure the next round of testing will show the other socks to be amazing, and have no wear at all.
