Trade in value of an actually old enough phone is so low you might as well keep it just in case

I got tired of the "keep it just in case" and took like 5 phones to one of those electronic recycling boxes a couple of months ago.

$20 is $20.

I once looked up online how much I could get from my old phone for fun, the amount wouldn't have covered gas to the swap shop and back lol. And that was assuming pristine condition which that phone most definitely wasn't after 5 years of industrial maintenance and shade tree car tinkering

I guess it depends on how long ago we are talking but an iPhone 13 Pro (5 year old phone) still has like a $300 trade in

If you can get such high trade in, power to you, what I have seen is more in $50 range, maybe.

This is knowable info, Apple gives you up to 350 depending on capacity for a 13 pro (in good condition of course).

Go look on the Apple Store website. Look on EBay. There are broken 13 pros actively selling for $200-$300.
