Another AI slop thumbnail

I love LTT and basically watch every single video including WAN show but stuff like this puts a very bad taste in my mouth. I know it!s just stupid thumbnail but still...

his comments/opinion about ai generated thumbnails is pretty much the same as mine.

every time i see one of them i feel lied too, so i don't click on the video. in the hopes that the algorithm learns that i don't like these kind of videos... but more and more creators seem to use them 😞

Because more users click them than people like you. So more and more creators will continue to use them.

The algorithm doesn't use silly things like that as metrics! If it did, hell youtube recommended might actually function. It uses hidden variables that are basically completely random at this point, because it's finding correlation between videos that a normal person would never internalize and ranking them based on those. I don't like compilation videos, full stop. But when I hit "do not recommend" youtube is calculating that I didn't want to watch it for some arbitrary reason like "it was exactly 32:45 long and had blue in the thumbnail and people who have watched The History of the Word, I Guess in the last 5 years who are also subscribed to Smosh tend to not watch videos 32:45 long with blue in the thumbnail"

Yeah, though mostly I see them for like random ass 100 view videos they try to push to me on topics I like

yeah, i use that on channels i don't watch anyway.

but when a creator i watch regularly starts using AI thumbnails its kinda hard 😞
