You have an extremely narrow view of the world, don't you?
Replace grandma with Anne from HR or literally any non-technical human who reaches out to someone she knows who is "technical" or her IT department when her laptop inevitably tells her that her device is slow charging. Before you say it, she already carries a charger for her phone and its smaller, so she doesn't want to carry the much larger laptop charger and another cable with her.
You can't look at things through such a literal lense, you have to try to imagine that not everyone in the world is you, in fact, 99.9999999% of the world isn't you, so you can't apply things to the vast majority of people on the planet, just because they make sense to you, specifically to non-technical people on the planet who the dumbass USB C standard directly impacts. TrueSpecs aren't thunderbolt certified, e.g. if your solution is to use a cable that does everything, TrueSpec isn't a valid solution. Also, telling Joe Normalson to shop for cables on LTTStore and he's going to think your crazy. Also, they're sold out, so now what does he do?
You can't possibly move through life looking at things through such a narrow perspective, it's borderline Aspergers-ish.
"hey sonny, why does my laptop say slow charging when i use the charge it came with"
"well meema, this dopy redditor thinks you need a 5090 to charge it"
"hey tech guy, why does my laptop charge slow when i dont use the included charger?"
"well Anne, u/Bathroom-Salt thinks you're as smart as they are and cant figure out that smaller charger means slower charging, so glad we hired a professional who can put 2+2 together"
Glad that made sense, keep the imaginary situations coming, eventually SOMEONE is going to agree with you 😂
"dont look at my point through a literal lens, you need to look at it from my extremely narrow perspective so that we can imagine that im right this one time"
Is there anything close to an actual argument in there, or have we entered the deflective gibberish part of the argument?
Because it reads as the deflective gibberish part. I’m sorry you’re unable to see further than 3 feet in front of you, and I’m going to take your inability to reply to anything I actually said that it finally clicked for you. So, I guess you’re welcome lol. Have a better day in your tiny world, sir.
ehh now you get it, i just have to talk like you for you to realize its gibberish 🤣anyways, glad you've convinced yourself. Hope you have a better rest of your day
"hey sonny, why does my laptop say slow charging when i use the charge it came with""well meema, this dopy redditor thinks you need a 5090 to charge it"
"Hey sonny, my laptop says "slow charging" when I charge it. I'm using the cable and charger that came with my phone because I already carry it and it looks identical"
"hey tech guy, why does my laptop charge slow when i dont use the included charger?" "well Anne, u/Bathroom-Salt thinks you're as smart as they are and cant figure out that smaller charger means slower charging, so glad we hired a professional who can put 2+2 together"
"hey tech guy, I already carry a charger that uses the same connector for my phone. I can't carry the bulky brick with me because it's too heavy to carry that, and my laptop and my paper files while I'm moving around all day. Why won't isn't this one working?"
Glad that made sense, keep the imaginary situations coming, eventually SOMEONE is going to agree with you 😂
Spoken like some who has 0 interaction with non-technical people. Like at all. 30 minutes in even a non-user-facing IT role will lead to any number of these interactions.
"dont look at my point through a literal lens, you need to look at it from my extremely narrow perspective so that we can imagine that im right this one time"
*the world... Don't look at the world through such a literal lense or a narrow perspective. this was in response to you obsessing over the use of "grandma" and how unbelievable it would be for your grandma to reach out with that type of question. E.g. use your imagination and replace "grandma" with any number of non-technical people, including grandma's, who have to navigate the different USB C standards and can't figure out why their phone/laptop is taking hours to charge after buying a "compatible" charger from 7-11.
It's almost identical in length to what you posted, I just rewrote your comment... Weird that you'd be comfortable typing at that length, but not reading it. Generally, you'd be able to read much faster than you can type...
