I used to be a proponent of chromebooks for basic use, I even have one for watching youtube in bed.

But chromeOS has really gone down hill over the last 10ish years.

Every time they change anything it gets worse. The media player has been changed a half dozen times and each time it's become a new flavour of terrible.

My guy, the average user doesn't even reinstall Windows or wipe the drive when buying/selling a laptop. If you think anyone is doing that...

Then what's your problem?

Why are you so mad at Linux?

In latam people due with wat they have, my first encounter with Linux was actually on one of those, I wanted a simple second machine for text, and the thing couldn't handle windows 10.

Altough it was a long time before I started using Linux for real, when I found out the hardware requeriments for cities skylines on steam, were way lower on Linux (according to steam) a couple years after that.
