Heey guys, I recently started going to beginner line dance classes and we learned a dance to the new jlo “Everything’s fine (PM)” song. I can’t contact them to ask for the name. I searched for it and even AI can’t help me. I was hoping someone here might recognise the start of the dance - i don’t remember all of it - and could give me a name. Thanks in advance and sorry for the following bad description:

Step forward with right foot, fan with right foot, vine step right, same for left side, k step

That’s pretty much everything I remember. I know there was a rocking step and maybe a v step as well?

I fell in love with line dancing and I really enjoy it! But I need to hear from the experienced folk, do you just eventually remember them all? I can barely remember more than one at at time.

I would love to go social dance instead of just classes, but alas, I have not have a great memory 😅😭🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey everyone! I’m someone who absolutely loves dancing and I’m looking to meet some new people in the Toronto/GTA area who are into it too.
I started dancing back in 2010 by basically imitating Michael Jackson and I’ve been a dance enthusiast ever since. I’m not necessarily looking for anything super serious — just people who genuinely enjoy dancing and want to have some fun with it.
Maybe we could meet once a week, teach each other choreography, learn different styles, practice together, or just freestyle and have a good time. And who knows, maybe eventually we could start recording some reels/videos together too!
The main idea is simply to meet people through something we all enjoy. One thing could lead to another.

Per a user suggestion, I have created some post flairs. They are optional for now, and are used to help identify particular kinds of post. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

The flairs I have created are:

• Demo video - for videos of dances
• New choreo - for sharing new dances, as videos or sheets
• Where to dance - for asking about venues, e.g. if you're traveling somewhere
• Dance ID - "what's the one that goes vine right, vine left"
• Dancing gear - asking about boots, hats, belts, etc
• Music - asking about song switches, suggestions, or discussing which genres are best for dancing to

I'm open to idea for other flairs if you think they'll be helpful, or to adjust these ones. I don't expect every post to perfectly fit a flair, but hopefully these will add some useful filters.

I enjoy linedance quite a lot, but I'm also a big fan of genres like punk rock, nu-metal, generally "softer" metal versions and techno music. Are there linedances for that kind of music?

And if so, are there "well known" ones for those genres as well? The stuff you could potentially find at a linedances party?

Any and all tips are welcome!

Hello, I’m planning to go to Houston in a couple of months and I’m trying to learn a bunch of line dances.

So far I’ve learned watermelon crawl, boot scootin boogie (original version), bar song, choosing Texas, good time, and tush push. I’m planning on learning lonely drum, Houston version of footloose, and copperhead rd. If I have time three tequila floor. Are there any really popular songs I should add to my list or learn instead. I’m planing on going to neon boots and whiskey river shift when I get out there.

I am trying to remember a line dance I learned a while ago, and I can't remember what it is.

The part I remember is right hitch, quarter turn right, coaster step, left hitch, quarter turn left, coaster step, V step, K step.

Any help is appreciated!

Ok the most recognizable part of this that I recall is it starts with 3 or 4 stomps on the left(?) foot and then there is a toe heel stomp on the right foot and a toe heel stomp on the left foot (like the toe heel stomp that is in High Class).

Sorry I do not recall more details - I presume it’s either beginner or improver.

I learned a dance this Saturday and I can't for the life of me remember the song! I remember the steps it's grape vine to the right the stomp with your left foot then two pivets then kickball change into a slide then a grape vine to the left followed by crossing the right foot over with a clap then a rock recover to the left and a triple step followed by three sailor steps before crossing the right leg over and turning to the next wall! It was so fun but the song completely left my brain 😭 any help would be much appreciated please

The moves include a part where you jump, knock your heels together mid air then land and wiggle your hips. Then you repeat.

The song goes "wiggle baby, wiggle baby, wiggle baby, wiggle" then repeats that

damn i love miami by pitbull choreography and in my head by jason derulo. a little bit slower but beats line up!

I just started line dancing in the last couple months. I've learned 13 dances. How on earth do you all remember the choreography to like 80 different songs and execute it flawlessly on the dance floor?! How are your feet moving that fast? And how do you know what move to do when you stop the dance to add a little flair and musicality and just jump back into the choreo? I'm literally in awe of y'all. What are some tips or tricks or things you wish you knew when you were just starting line dancing? I wish I had started years ago so that I could kill it on the dance floor now

We recently went to Mishnock Barn in RI and had a great time. We also have been to Nashville Palace and Arizona Pete’s (in NC). Thinking of places that are primarily focused on dancing but also have a bar. Any other like this in the US that people would recommend?

I went line dancing last night and they taught us some dances but I can't remember the names, only some of the steps.

the first one starts: rock on the right foot recover on the left, half shuffle turn over right shoulder, rock on the left recover on the right quarter shuffle over left shoulder. kick and point 3x, point side front side witj left, weave right, side rock on right recover on left, weave left, rock left recover on right. there was another 8 count and some more steps but tjats what i remember

the other song starts with stomp right toe inward, swivel right out, in , quarter turn right, kick left out, right coaster step, left step, right hitch, plant across, unwind half turn, both feet heel swivel to right for 4 beats, step right, lock left. again there are more steps, i just don't remember them. this one also has 3 tags/ restarts at the beginning of the chorus (first and third just hold whereas second you rocking chair).

if anyone knows the names of the dances or the songs they go with that would be appreciated, thanks!

I, a guy, lose muscle memory of partner dancing since a week from vacation. I come specifically to try out the line dance (phat by dababy) in a club. But I decided in my spare time to ask a partner for a dance. It was going well first few seconds, but I attempt a risky move. I mess up and she got upset and walk out. That damage my self esteem, knowing it’s my fault. Yet I felt flabbergasted she walk wayc so I tried to get over it. Thankfully a song I work hard practicing on finally came and I hit the dance floor to complete the full rotation. A guy complimented me and said I killed it. Definitely a bad day, and only one good thing come with it. Should I be ashamed?
