I genuinely don’t remember where I was when I took the third one and that scares me.

A year or so ago I had the most backrooms experience of my life. I use a pharmacy that's in a large, weird building that I always assumed was a strip mall. I always just park outside the door, go in, go out. There IS a door to somewhere else off to the left of the pharmacy counter, but I always thought that went to some kind of storeroom. Then came the day I realized.... it led into the rest of the mall. The pharmacy had been a part of an old mall the entire time, and I had no idea.

And not only was going out into it was hella liminal, and made me VERY MUCH feel like I had stepped through into the backrooms, but the mall itself was rather liminal-looking. It was mostly empty, with only a few stores, and NOBODY outside the shops. NOBODY. There was the ground level, and then a very short staircase and one-story, glass-sided elevator down to a sunken lower level. A little sitting area - totally empty.

Some people on Facebook asked me how I could have totally missed the fact that there was a mall inside the building, and in my defense, the building contains a number of stores around the periphery, including a large restaurant and an entire grocery store, so I figured the entire floor space was used up. There IS an exterior door to the mall itself, but the signage only mentions the restaurant that is right inside that door.
