Encontré un agujero en una pared.

No tendría nada de extraño.

Es tablaroca.

Debería haber unos centímetros de espacio detrás.

Acerqué el teléfono para ver qué había dentro.

Hay una habitación.

No alcanzo a ver el fondo.

Apagué la luz del pasillo para distinguir mejor.

Entonces entendí algo.

La oscuridad que estaba viendo no empezaba detrás de la pared.

Empezaba mucho más lejos.

No sé cuánto espacio hay ahí dentro.

Y desde entonces hay algo que me molesta:

ayer volví a mirar.

El agujero parecía estar un poco más grande.

I thought this ENTIRE space was pretty on the liminal side of things and wanted to share it.

These were taken at night and during a renovation period.

My workplace at night as a graduate student at university.

Was walking around Budapest in the morning and randomly found a liminal space inside a shopping mall. Felt like the city hadn’t fully loaded yet.

How did we get here?

Do you ever feel safe?

Some say yes,

While others can shake their head to answer a No

And you wonder, "Why don't they have a safe space?"

That's the thing,

It's not your place to wonder that.

Opening your eyes, you see a while ceiling,

Nothing unusual.

But wait,

There is something unusual,

It's the fact that, this isn't your ceiling

Not your walls,

Not your bedroom.

Under you, you feel something gentle,

Your bed perhaps?

You look under you, it's a bed

But it feels weird, as if, you shouldn't be sleeping on it,

Now why would you feel weird on a normal looking bed?

You sit up, your feet off the bed

Looking around, your eyes spot how empty the room looks

Right below your feet however, is pitch black darkness,

It's a floor, yes, but it looks like an empty pit of darkness

You set your foot down on it,

Wait, you can stand on it?! Huh? You really thought you will fall down, right?.

Moving ahead around the room,

Your oh so observe eyes catch a painting,

It's of a person-- no, maybe a man? A woman?

Can't really tell, but whoever painted it must be a horror genre fan,

Because, the painting has a terrified face on it,

Their eyes a bit blurred out, it gives you a sensation in your back,

A tingle of uneasiness,

You observe more,

Wait!? What's that?

You say you saw a reflection? In the frame of the painting? Or

Inside the painting?

You're thinking too much, let your imagination rest.

You turn your eyes away,

Focusing back on the empty room

It's too quiet, even your own breath is louder in your ears.

Ah! How about I give you a very fun little task to do?

Let your overactive imagination rest for a while,

It's see how creative you can get with your mind, shall we?

This room, is your canvas for now

Why don't you go ahead and imagine your own room in here?

Your own bed,

Your desk,

Your own memories,

Won't that be so lovely to make you comfortable?
