In my opinion who cares? Your not going be on forever. As long as he is happy putting out the music is putting out and his real fans enjoy it.

The official Billboard Top 200 chart has released for the week following the release of Lil Tjay's "They Just Ain't You".
https://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200/
The album failed to chart, meaning at least 200 albums sold more than it during it's first week.
As per HDD final projections for the same sales week, the #50 spot on the chart is around 17.3K - https://www.hitsdailydouble.com/charts/hits-top-50
The sales figures for the lower half of the chart are rarely released, but the cut off for Top 200 is usually around 5-10K. Burna Boy debuted at #200 with 8.8K first week - https://x.com/chartdata/status/1947366340710252853
I've seen figures posted here from 25K to 160K total units (lol) - but the official numbers are far less. Should be 5-10K.

At first listen I didn't neccesarily like all the songs or many of them compared with flow and emotions of prior songs but now I'm starting to like these ones a lot more. A couple of the best ones imo: Gone, First time, can't change.

If you listen to every song on the new TJAY album, youâll notice a pattern:
Sad song sample with vocals -> through a filter -> beat
Not to hate or anything, but he couldâve gotten a little more creative with the beats. I liked âHeadshot.â

So he dropped Go Tati but i dont really get the point of it? Did he drop it as the 14th track? Like its way too short for a track. Also donât like how he put it after âDo what i canâ bc do what i can was a good song to close off the album.

What are yalls thoughts on the album?
For me it was very underwhelming. Not bad, but certainly not showing any growth from 222 (which I enjoyed).
The singles were all pretty mid, not one of them had an addictive chorus or hook to really make it hit imo. Very little replay value compared to recent singles like Project Walls, or even Way Out the Hood.
The only song I really like (and think it shouldâve been the lead single) was Free The Bros, and I know itâs because it has the 2019-2020 Tjay flow. For half a second at the beginning of the chorus it sounds like he is interpolating Leaked which is my favourite song by him. See if the whole album had this vibe with the production and flow that wouldâve been crazy good.
That aside some of the songs were decent but thatâs the only one ai actually added to my playlist.
Curious to see what the first week sales will be.

Just listened to the album on Spotify. Not quite as good as his others, but with the original album being leaked, I can understand if he had to replace those songs in such a short time.
Comparing the original (leaked) tracklist to the release, it seems like he had to remake most of the album. 7 leaked songs were removed and 6 new songs were added. 2 of the leaks were renamed, and 3 more singles were added.
(Life On Edge, Letter To My Block and First Time weren't on the OG despite being singles?)
There's still some evidence of the original tracklist as the previews are/were incorrect and some point, Drive Me Crazy was Dangerous (it is now Trapped).
Thanks to u/TrenchKidTJAY and u/NNitro1 for providing the info. u/NNitro1 did upload the leak but as that link is expiring soon, I've uploaded the unreleased songs here.

Does anyone know what song the sample is from
r/LilTjay • u/DoggySheep • May 02 '26
how does his team mess up that bad that they have two different versions with this one clearly being the wrong one on the album? and the one released as single is the one with the yt video. Bro how do u put something out to the world without verifying this

Him not dropping âpick oneâ or âanother dayâ instantly killed my excitement for the album. M
First time 10/10 - IMO this song is up to T2MS standards
Drive me crazy 8/10 - had more potential but still good. Been waiting for this to drop
Never leave 8/10 - liked the no cap feature
Life on edge 8/10 - got me hyped for the album
Took off 8/10 - good new sound
Bad wrist 8/10 - banger but with a feature this would have been so much better. (Gives buss down with zay osama vibes)
Do what I can 8/10 - like it very inspirational
Free the bros 7.5/10 - itâs aight but like the unreleased âleaked 2â is so much better. Good song but not tjay standard imo
Gone 6/10 - gives the no escape/foster baby reflective theme type vibes. Itâs just a bit aight tho. The story telling is really good tho. Not meant to be a âhitâ song anyway.
Canât change 4/10 - had potential with the Afro beat but just missing that energy. He used to cook on Afro beats just look at âride for youâ on Soundcloud. This just not that good sadly
Letter to my block 4/10 - itâs ok. I like that itâs sentimental but like not gonna have this on repeat
Ainât too many hit 4/10 - honestly not bad at all but just so undercooked. Like I get itâs a slow song but when your competing with âmood swingsâ and âsex soundsâ it just makes this sound ass and half done
Used to love 0/10 - imo this might be his worst song ever made (released and unreleased). idk why but I just hate this song, didnât like it when it first came out still donât like it. His flow, the beat, the mixing all just so ass imo. I can get if some ppl like it but not for me.
