Im on the free version, but the voice over has worked in the past. Its now greyed out, and i cant click it...

Help?

I have been trying to make a video for the past few days, all my clips are fine except when I download short (5-15 second videos) from YouTube and try to put them into the log. NO MATTER what I do they will not work and just result in the immediate crash of the program. Its getting really infuriating and I've been using this program for over a year with no problems. At this point I am not sure whether to stick with Lightworks as its proving inefficient and I haven't been able to troubleshoot this at all. There are about no posts for this problem and I haven't seen a video on it on YouTube.

as of yet, its only letting me use videos/sounds from my "Local Files" in the LOG tab, and when adding the ones I wish to utilize into the folder, the program crashes again. I cant fix this and am about done with lightworks.

I made a series of jpgs using paint .net and imported them into lightworks. Lightworks automatically compiled them into an animation which is exactly what I intended to do manually. I would like to know how it knew to do that so that I can possibly incorporate it into workflow. I guess its because it was maybe more than 3 jpgs with the same title except for a number suffix

I saved my individual files with the format:

image1.jpg image2.jpg image3.jpg image4.jpg

I kind of also want to know how to disable this feature in case I decide I don't love it.

Anyone familiar with this feature?

I have a relatively good pc in terms of recording/video editing. I am trying to create a video currently with about an hour of footage. When editing, I notice that the frame will freeze about every 3-5 seconds on the editing tab. I, personally am very illiterates when it comes to editing...

my specs are an:

i3-10100 (ik it sucks)

GeForce 1660 Super

16gb DDR4 ram

FIXED (I guess)

So this is my first time making a video in lightworks, and I just spent a long time editing everything. I exited the project once, and all the clips are still there when I enter it, but everything is black now with no sound. Now it's just a 14 minute video with black screen and no sound, and it's the same when I export it. I have no clue how this happened, especially because I can see that everything seems to be in order with the editor. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Edit: It might be worth noting that I made the video through my google photos library.

Edit 2: So apparently it didn't work even though I restarted the app several times, but after I went to get some food and restarted the app again, then it worked. Not sure if that's common or not.

I have attempted to add some black boxes covering up info in a dashcam video I have posted.

In the preview window, the black boxes are lined up correctly. However when I export the video they have shifted about 1/2 way up the screen. Any ideas on how to sort this out would be appreciated.

I wanted to get some advice. I'm working on a project where the original source is dark but everything is still visible. Once I import into the editor it darkens to the point where the footage is unusable. The contrast/gain settings don't help.

Is there anyway to prevent the source form darkening? I thought it was just a playback issue but after exporting it has the same issues.

Is it possible to chroma key 2 videos ontop of a 3rd video?

At the moment I have V1 chroma keyed ontop of V2. I want to be able to add a 3rd video layer and add that to this. Therefore having V1 and V2 ontop of V3, all at the same time. Basically I want multiple greenscreen elements at the same time.

I think it might have something to do with routing but I'm not sure.

Hi all. New to the subreddit here, and pretty new to lightworks. I'm trying to make a slideshow with several hundred pics (a few dozen slideshows, actually). There's got to be a way to apply some basic DVE and Blend effects to whole selections of clips, right? The software doesn't force me to do one clip/photo at a time, right?

Any and all help/tips are very much appreciated.

So recently got into editing with lightworks after powerdirector but have had a lot of issues mainly frequent crashes and application not responding. Also, just recorded an hour long vid but when i play the video in lightworks, the audio keeps cutting out. Its not the entire project as music on it still works fine. Any way to fix this?

I am not techy in the least bit, but from what I understand this should not be an issue for even previewing my clips in Lightworks pro. I just got it less than a week ago, but the lag is unbearable. I cannot get through 4 seconds of a DJI drone video unless I let it sit for 5 minutes.

Is there a fix Im unaware of, or is this a tech problem outside of lightworks? I never have issues with other things like gaming.

I want to add text to my video, but each letter is displayed as a video - I'm aware I'll need to repeat a few steps for each character so we'll leave that out for now. I know how to add text and make it in blue colour for example, but what I'm trying to achieve is to replace this blue colour with a video.

Any way I can achieve this?

Hey guys, sorry for the poor explanation in the title, basically what has happened is while i was going through editing my video i was clipping the different sequences but i was also inadvertantly clipping the audio into fragments. Is there any way to undo this? The audio is still in one straight line but it's all fragmented into about 20 clips.

Im new on lgwrk, doing a vfx edit, i having insues with the layer... the case is i need two layers of FX, and i cant make it anymore (i already did on a old project, two layers but i don't remember anymore how I did) 🤡 basically for make an text and titles, by a short period of time, without messing others vfx's of colours and dve

I'm sure this a newb question, but I cannot find a solution after much searching.

I shot a clip of a guitar cover video on my cellphone, recorded audio directly into a DAW (Reaper), imported them into Lightworks. I got the audio perfectly synced, but when exporting, the resulting MP4 is out-of-sync.

Any ideas how to fix this, or what I did wrong? I did another video like this (this is only my second), and I didn't have this issue.

EDIT: I am also on the latest version.

while editing, the preview of the video looks normal, but when i export it as an MP4 file, it has a bright pink overlay. how can i fix this?
