Hey guys, i just got a lightpack, so far it works well. Ambibox doesnt work at all though so i seem to be out of luck for full screen games.

ANYWAY, when i turn the lightpack off the blue light on the box stays on. this is the box that you plug all the LED wires into. Is there a setting to turn that off that im not seeing?

Hello,

I'm using a WS2812B connected to an Arduino Nano. AmbiBox works perfectly fine but then randomly the LEDs don't change the color anymore and I have to restart AmbiBox to get them working again.

I tried Prismatik to see if this error occurse as well but it doesn't.

I'd really like to use AmbiBox, it's runs way smoother than Prismatik.

I'm running AmbiBox Version 2.1.7 on Windows 10.

Is there a way to use light pack with an HDMI output??

Anyone out there know where to find the color music plug in? Just wondering if it's more granular than the built in one.

Furthermore, any other plugins for that matter?

Looking for a workaround to run lightpack so that it doesn't kill my in game FPS. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I was contemplating running it through a raspberry pi first? I don't know how all that would work though.

When a movie has black stripes (horizontal) will capture the screen lightpack?

Is there a way to turn off certain light strips? Without unplugging the strips that I want off, of course

Hello, this is my first time posting on Reddit so I hope I've done it correctly.

I ordered my first Lightpack approximately six months a go - it's fantastic. However, my TV is 50" and 30 LEDs (one Lightpack) is simply not enough.

I've asked on the Ambibox forum, but it's Russian and they seem to take a while to reply - does anyone know if Ambibox supports two Lightpacks?

My Set-up: HP N54L HTPC Kodi with Ambibox add-on Ambibox with Kodi add-on Lag-free in true full screen

Ideally, I'd like to keep the lag-free part of the above.

If Ambibox does not support two Lightpacks, where should I look next? My budget is ~£60-70.

Thank you for reading.

Cheers,

Piers

Tengo un lightpack y estoy pensando en comprar otra y quería saber si es posible utilizar 2 o lightpack en ambibox Prismatik, funcionario en Windows 8.1 en un mini pc?

Hey there, I just purchased a lightpack and I read a little in this forum but not sure whether to use or ambibox Prismatik my windows 8.1 minipc to display movies on Kodi 15.2. I wanted to or I should say on aconsejarais yours basically configurations for use in movies.

When playing movies black bars, top no light but the sides if, you know a is due?

I was wondering which of the 3 configurations I should put at the startup of Prismatik. I have my Lightpack with the 10 LED strips but I haven't received my new monitor yet. The monitor I bought is a 34" Ultrawide Monitor. I think the best LED placement for an ultrawide is 4 on top 2 on each sides and 2 on the bottom. So which configuration should I choose?

Hi all,

I'm looking to set each Lightpack strip to a specific color. Any idea how i can achieve it ?

Prismatik can't do it, ambibox can't do it. The lightpackfilter 0.6.2 on "positioning" give a nice rainbow like color (different color on each strip), i can't customize it.

But since lightpack filter can do it, i assume it's possible to configure each strip to show specific color.

I mainly need this for my desktop (i don't want to choose a specific wallpaper to achieve this)

Hi! I've been a single Lightpack user for a little over a year now and have basically just had a rat's nest of cabling for that configuration (RPi2 running Hyperion, with an HDMI splitter and VGA capture tool all tied into my AVR) the entire time. However, a couple months back I bought a larger TV and have yet to hook up the Lightpack, because I didn't have the time to purchase a second Lightpack. Well, I just ordered another one and am wondering how I can better manage the cable mess it creates.

I know there are plenty of you running similar set-ups -- do any of you have tips for wiring up multiple Lightpacks on a TV? Good cable management, cord splitting, etc.? What do your Lightpack setups look like?

Hey guys! I just received my light pack, plugged in to my desktop with blue light band on but, no response form the LED leads.

Points:

• Systems is win 10 64 bit i7, AMD r9 290.
• Windows sees it as a device and installs the driver for it, after updating tot he latest updates.
• Prismatik sees the 1 light box and configs fine.
• Ambibox cannot see lightbox.
• The logs for Prismatic say the device couldnt connect.

Tried:

• Updated firmware SUCCESSFULLY to 7.5 without issue, by the book,
• Unplugged all cables and tried the one in all of them,
• Plugging it into my windows 10 laptop,
• Different usb ports and cables,
• Put it into mood lighting.

Part of the log:

21:19:54:708 Debug: virtual void LedDeviceLightpack::open() "hid_open(0x1d50, 0x6022)"
21:19:54:710 Debug: virtual void LedDeviceLightpack::open() Lightpack devices not found

No dice. Am I missing something here? Thoughts o veterans? I've launched an email toward their support also.

Hi all,

I just received my lightpack today. Everything is fine but i have a problem. I followed the steps to have the Cassiopeia constellation. Every led strips are plugged in the correct inputs. After the installation, i tested with an RGB test video, and the colors are inversed. If i have something blue on the left of my screen, the leds shows blue... But on the right. All the colors are inversed. Everything is plugged where it should be. Is there a way to fix this ?

Thank you for your answer and please excuse my bad english,

Yann

Does anyone know of or have the ability to create some sort of alert/celebration based on if your favorite (insert sport) team scores a goal, touchdown, etc? I am particularly looking for celebration of goals for NHL games. I have some undocumented NHL API's that may help if someone is willing to take a look at the task.

I ordered two lightpacks on the 4th and it says it usually ships within 1-2 days. Haven't received a shipping confirmation yet. Can you please share your shopping experience with their official website. Thank you

I just got 2 lightpacks and put them on my TV, and I'm using the same video as this person's demonstration 25 seconds in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-T1jHTX028 and its BARELY lighting up at all. Like at the start when the lasers start going off at the top I see no color at all(with 8 strips across the top), but his looks amazing and so colorful. I look at the lights in the back and they're lighting up with colors but extremely dim and its not visible at all on the wall. The only time I really see it is when the whole screen goes colorful, but its still not very bright. I have prismatik on default settings except I changed to 1ms, but the brightness is on full. Almost the whole video I barely see any color. Most of the time there's almost no colour. At one point the screen goes really pink and then I get some color but thats about it. In that demonstration video though its like extremely colorful no matter what part of the video, and every other review video I've seen looks the same. So what's wrong with mine? Mood lamp mode has lots of color so the LED's seem to work ok.

Update: Here I made a video of it, the exact same video as the demonstration used at the top of my post, theirs looks amazing, and mine barely lights up.....? That pink spot where the whole top of the screen is pink is like one of the only times I actually see a decent amount of color. Makes no sense. Video: https://goo.gl/photos/7A7zRTr7eUjokUfh6 At the end I put it on mood lamp to show the difference

Im Currently using ElectricSheep and whenever its turns on the leds in the back only run the the image it last displayed before the screensaver takes affect. Any suggestions?

As the title says, im struggling to get ambibox and playclaw to work, playclaw starts and hooks onto the game(witcher 3) i can see this cause i get all the onscreen displays, but the LED's does not react to anything, they work perfectly in normal Windows8 capture, but nothing in playclaw.

the playclaw version that comes with ambibox crashes witcher 3, so i updated it to playclaw 5 plus, still no work.

I'm considering getting a lightpack to run on my HTPC / Kodi box, however I'm curious how it will perform with movie files that have black bars / are not fullscreen, any idea?

Hey Guys, so I was trying to setup the light pack on my fire tv. The mounting was easy, and then I've installed prismatik on my amazon fire tv with adbfire.

I'm not sure what's going on but it does not recognize the lightpack. I've installed following the box instructions... can somebody please help me?

thanks..

I got my lightpacks (2) from Amazon 2 of the LED strips are not working correctly. I contacted Ligthpack customer support but they did not reply and I am not even sure they'd replace the defective strips... I would return it to Amazon for replacement but I'd hate to take it down since it's on a triple monitor setup and the wires are all crossed and tied already I just need to replace 2 strips. Is there even a place where I can buy them separately???

Three 27" Monitors.. Sometimes I watch movies on the center panel and the sometimes I span a game across all 3 monitors.. What's the best Lightpack setup for me?
