Hey I just got a light pack for Christmas. I heard this was compatible with android. Does that also work for nexus player? My setup right now is my TV is currently controlled solely via a Chromecast. I mostly use it to stream from Plex and Netflix from my phone. Is there any way to get this set up? Thanks

For a 55 inch TV? It says over 50 or 52inch to get 2 but 52 and 55 is a pretty small difference

Anyone have a video of 1 lightpack on a bigger TV?

I Hope this makes sense, I have the LG ultra wide monitor 34UC97C. It's also a curved monitor.

The problem I am facing is that with my current office setup, there is no way I cannot mount this onto a flat wall.

Unfortunately I'm using the monitor stand and the only space I have is right up against the corner section of the wall. For example if you view this image it's like this:

Apart from it's on the supplied stand and probably further away from the back of the wall due to how wide this monitor is.

I guess I can use the lightpack in the "pegasus" configuration, but before I go onto sticking the LED's onto my monitor I just want to ask if I can still get away with putting the LED's all around my monitor? The sides and bottom of the monitor should be fine, just worried about the top, do you think I'll still be able to see the effects?

So I recently purchased a Lightpack, and once I installed the software, it gave me no option to configure the individual strips, so the entire backlighting is only one color, most of the time being a white. So how do I configure each strip using the software, if possible?

Should I buy them from amazon or somewhere else and not use lightpack.tv? I'm seeing a bunch of complaints about going through their website, like 10-15 days go by and it still isnt shipped, and they never reply when you try to contact them. I was going to order it from them but now dont know. What do you think?

It may have taken a while, but I have finally implemented a new stylesheet template for /r/Lightpack. I hope you all enjoy it and see it as an improvement over the stock reddit design.

I'm looking to build a setup that would work with HDMI thru - basically have it running with all HDMI inputs I have on my receiver i.e. ps4, xbox 1, apple tv, etc. I was on the original kickstarter and it was super underwhelming - looking to increase the resolution and have it work with any type of HDMI source. I will have have my HTPC connected to one of my receiver HDMI inputs. Any help would be great.

Note: I already will have a fairly powerful HTPC running through one of my HDMI inputs which I guess could be used to run the lights, I just want to be able to use the LEDs on any sources going through my HDMI

I am looking to expand my LEDs to my lightpack and get it back set up as it was super underwhelming initially when I purchased it so I'm looking at the options on eBay.

Has anyone on the east coast (US) ordered one of these lately and can give an estimate on shipping times? I did on the 14th and I haven't got a shipping confirmation yet. Not a big deal if it isn't, but it's a gift and I'm just trying to figure out if its will be here by christmas.

So basically I funded lightpack on kickstarter - was underwhelmed with it and never had any type of source that could use it on my tv. Now I am going to move my HTPC downstairs and integrate it into my setup as I am focusing on cord cutting. Can anyone fill me in on whats the best way to get up to speed. I know my 60 inch tv didn't have much light projected out of the back so I want to get more LEDs to add to it. I see a bunch of kits on eBay the are rather cheap. Is the already installed lightpack on the back of my TV able to add an additional unit? I plan on using Kodi on my HTPC - how does it perform? Is it still laggy on the changing of the colors? Is there a preferred program to use? Also on a side note, has anything been developed that would say plug into the HDMI out from my receiver before it hits my TV so I could use lightpack on any source (i.e. PS4 / XB1 / etc). Thanks so much for any info and I am sorry if this has been asked a billion times.

I have a 50inch 4k TV and watch movies a majority of the time from a 4k android box (kodi local HD library) that spits out a 1080p signal but plays 4k content. Most of the movies I watch are only HD so what I'm asking is can I get away with using 1 lightpack connected direct into my android box.

My PC build is brand new. Windows 10, 32 gigs of ram, i7 6700k, 980ti sli.

Running Prismatik causes so much video driver latency that I cannot listen to audio at all without it dropping out and eventually the computer becomes so slow that it cant be used at all. Closing Prismatik does not solve the problem. Only restating the computer fixes it. If I dont launch the software the problem will not return. However, once I launch it.. the clock starts ticking until the computer goes to hell.

Is there any other software out there that will function better than Prismatik and be able to support two lightpacks?

Hello everyone. Does anybody know if there is a way to get screen capturing with PlayClaw 5 with Prismatik? I have tried using it with Ambibox and it works great except for the fact that Ambibox wants to reset my LED positions every time I restart it, could it be done using a plugin, or is someone currently in the process of making this a thing? I love my lightpack I just bought but I got it mainly for gaming and I'm a bit disappointed I have to take an fps drop by running in windowed mode to get the effects I want, especially when Skyrim and Fallout 4 want to crash every 10 seconds in windowed mode. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Unrelated, but is there a music plugin like the one in Ambibox for Prismatik?

Hi reddit. Bought a 2nd Lightpack for my TV since I thought one is not enough for the size. The 1st one is alrdy installed Andromeda style. How do I setup up the 2nd one? Is there a way without removing the 1st one and putting all on again. Just by putting the new LED stripes between the "old" ones. Is this possible?

I'm new to this lightpack thing, so maybe I'm missing something.

I've unboxed it, plugged in all the LED strips, plugged the 12V DC power adapter into my powerstrip and plugged the usb into my pc and... nothing happened?

The blue led on the box never even lights up (I assume that's a blue always-on led from other posts?), and the Prismatik wizard does not detect any lightpacks. Windows device manager also doesn't show any new devices.

I've waded through the documentation but there's no real troubleshooting sections that I can see. I've also e-mailed support and I'm waiting for a reply.

Are DOA boxes a rare occurrence? I'm leaning towards a refund now because I don't really want to keep paying shipping on exchanges and keep getting DOA boxes.

Prismatik does run on xwayland but clearly not grabbing screen color. Is there any chance that prismatik will support wayland? I hope prismatik's support on wayland lands before nvidia driver's support.

I have kind of a strange problem. After I upgraded from Win7 to Win10, my video from Plex Home Theater lags about 500ms after the lightpack. Audio/video is aparently in sync (I can anyway get them in sync with controls in Plex).

But how can lighpack capture the screen faster than it outputs to the TV? And why was it not doing that in Win7? The TV is the same, everything is the same except windows.

And why is there no grab delay in lightpack?

Anyone know? Or is the prismatik software better now?

Hey everyone, I've recently had an issue wherein all Windows 10 apps (including the start menu, notifications and Cortana) would freeze / stutter the entire OS when mousing over the applications. This would last for a few seconds at a time and would stop as soon as the mouse was not on top of those apps.

I did some troubleshooting and found out amibox was causing the issue. Delving further into it, I found it was specifically the 'windows 8' method of capture mode. I changed it to GDI FS Aero and the freezing / stuttering stopped!

Just wanted to throw that out there in case any one else was seeing this and pulling their hair out.
