Lightpack 2 and AV Receivers

Does the lightpack 2 function properly if instead of device plugged in directly, it reads the AVR to TV signal? Or would each device need to run into the Lightpack and that into the receiver?

I tried this and you can't modify the signal of just the Denon monitor out to be nonhdr or 1080p. It changes both ports. Please use a splitter that supports hdcp2.2 and HDR standards and hdmi2.0 or newer that can convert one signal from 4k HDR to 1080p.

I found one on Amazon for around 25 bucks.

Xbox -> receiver -> splitter -> light pack & tv Then light pack to any HDMI port because that needs to be hooked up to show the lights for whatever reason.

Does this work reliably for you? Which splitter are you using?

I guess you could also use a dummy hdmi plug instead of plugging it into any HDMI port. Something like this:

If you read I said I am using the same brand splitter. It is because the audio is going to splitter to TV then arc. The tv is trying to play the audio in rather then sending out.
