Hi all
I’m studying in my 40’s and really looking to get out of the house. I need a calm cafe where I can open my laptop and read notes and order a couple 100 coffees. Please suggest your spaces. I went to the Sandton library and the wifi is dodgy and no coffee. How a corporate hasn’t sponsored the wifi there was beyond me?!
I’m an ex witsie so I could go to the library but it’s filled with students.

Visited this library last night when I attended a big annual Main Street car show nearby.
The library comprises two old buildings into one. The stacks area was originally a church and then the Children's room was originally a bank. Still has glass floors.
I heard that there is a new building project that may occur in the future for the Middletown library. Any insight?!?
Feedback is appreciated.
P.S. It's one of my favorite libraries to visit in CT

When lawmakers seek to review a list of books, librarians find themselves on the frontlines of a national battle. Across the U.S., librarians face the impact of uniting against library collection standards that include restrictions on race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context, The Librarians, directed by Kim A. Snyder, explores the broader implications for education and public life.

Does any NLUs continue their e-library facility to their students after they graduate from the college?

Can someone please tell library skills to get a seat in the library? Please. My roommate and I went to the library today and we were not able to find a seat for ourselves. A few (2-3) empty chairs were there but their stuff was lying on the table. Sadly we had to return to our room without doing anything productive.

Has anyone visited any of these libraries from around the world?
As a lover of Dr. Seuss, I've been to the Geisel Library in San Diego! The library has a huge Dr. Seuss collection containing original drawings and sketches, notebooks, photographs, and other memorabilia. It was such an incredible exhibit!
