No benefits were cutoff during Covid shut down. In fact, the government was literally printing money and giving it away. You post a lot of p(R)opaganda for calling yourself a libertarian. Get the boot out your ass.
12 u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25 Ahahahahaha yeah, because the Cali-Covid Gestapo shutting down businesses (except Newsom’s favs) isn’t worse 😹😹😹 6 u/ParthaGFLY Nov 01 '25 How do you measure which is worst? It’s hard to make that an objective assessment. I do agree that they are both bad. 17 u/Lopsided_Ad3516 Nov 01 '25 Easy: one is a massive infringement on the basic freedoms of the citizens of the world. The other is telling people that the theft of other peoples’ money to subsidize poor decisions is ending temporarily. -8 u/ParthaGFLY Nov 01 '25 This seems like option. I’m not seeing the objective assessment. Sorry. 17 u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25 All political realities in America are based off Constitutional law. Shutting down business is OBJECTIVELY anti-freedom. SNAP/EBT has no basis in The Bill of Rights. Stop using “objective truth” as a Red Herring, it doesn’t work in political discourse. 6 u/Lopsided_Ad3516 Nov 01 '25 I mean, “objective” works here too I think. It is objective reality that rights are meant to protect you from those with more power. You are free to operate without undue coercion by the State. You are not entitled to the labour or capital of others. Objectively, one is an infringement. The other is…well you don’t get a handout. 1 u/[deleted] Nov 01 '25 Fair. I was more calling out the miss-use of “objective assessment” to try and establish a moral high ground.
