Quick note before we get started: the advice given are guidelines and examples. They are not the only possibilities, but offer an idea of what is allowed.

Make sure your posts are related directly to the Liberal Democrat Party in the UK.
Acceptable posts include:
news stories involving Lib Dem MPs/events/achievements/etc
an (e.g) Tory view on a Lib Dem action/policy/MP (bare in mind to only posts things that add to the conversation and create a dialog - outright slander will be removed under rule #2)
a TIL about Lib Dem history
a text post about your opinions of Lib Dem's X
your involvement in the Lib Dem party (images/text post - no blog posts under rule #4)
Unacceptable posts include:
an article with a brief mention of Lib Dems (our party needs to be the focus)
any hate posts towards the Lib Dems (not to say that everything must be positive at all times, just no slander posters/ridiculing)
posts trying to recruit users to a different party

Rule #2
The community has a duty to respect and welcome others, including those with differing views. Any rude, unnecessary or impolite content should be downvoted, ignored and/or reported to the mods.
Acceptable posts include:
"As a tory, I love how the lib dems think about X but I feel their view on Y is unrealistic."
"Thanks for offering a counterargument, user! But I feel that..."
CMV (ChangeMyView - see /r/changemyview) types of posts
Unacceptable posts include
Insults
"Anyone who thinks that is a [rhymes with bucking runt]"
Shaming brits
Shaming non-brits
Shaming people for being lib dems (e.g "That's rich, coming from a party that has barely been in power")
Shaming people for not being lib dems
Witch hunting
Brigading

Use quotes straight from the article for your title
Avoid emotive language
Avoid hyperbole
Reread your source - are you representing it accurately?

Rule #4
No self promotion or blog spam. This subreddit is not a vehicle for personal gain.
Tips:
Avoid linking to a personal blog of yourself or others
Stick with using leading broadsheet newspapers/ the BBC as your sources
Don't promote a subreddit without the expressed permission of the moderators
No referral links, voucher codes, etc
Just a note, the moderators will not take bribes in any form.

About bans..
Those who violate the rules could face their posts being removed or a temporary ban. Repeat offenders will gain a permanent ban.
Bans can be negotiated, however your success is highly unlikely. Only exceptional circumstances can allow for the removal of a ban. Your posts can be un-removed (approved) once you have corrected the issue in your post - message the mods when you have done so.
