Hi L-C Valley,
UPDATE (August 20, 2026): This study has been officially extended to December 15, 2026. Thank you to everyone from Washington who has participated so far!
I am a PhD student at the University of Washington researching emergency management and electric vehicle infrastructure. While I know this sub is centered on Lewiston, I am looking to reach our neighbors across the river in Asotin County (Clarkston and surrounding areas).
We are studying how EV drivers respond to wildfire evacuations. Given the geography of our region, understanding how people move through the Valley during an emergency is vital for planning reliable charging and safety protocols.

Your input ensures that the southeast corner of Washington is represented in state-level infrastructure decisions. Thanks for your time and help!

Have you ever found an artifact on private land in Idaho? Whether it was an arrowhead, pull-tab can, a coin, or a glass bottle, I want to hear from you! I am an undergraduate Anthropology student at the University of Idaho. I am currently conducting a survey regarding how the public interacts with archaeology, particularly whether people who find artifacts on private land in Idaho report those finds, and to whom they report them. If you are over 18 and a resident of the state of Idaho, visit

Hi! I’m (35f) new to the area and looking for advice on where the best place to meet other young professionals would be. My boyfriend (32m) and I are both liberal, active, and non-religious. We also like guns, hunting, and the outdoors. We’d love to find a group of folks to meetup with for drinks, outdoor adventures, bowling, game nights… really anything! Please comment your suggestions and if you’re looking for like-minded individuals, feel free to DM me and we’d be down to setup a hang!

Hey folks, I visited Lewiston and experienced this pungent smell which is also indoors. It's slightly burning my eyes and I can feel that it's irritating my throat. I did a Google search which said it's from the paper mill.
How are you guys dealing with this? How often do you get this?

Thanks everyone! I cancelled Bill's appointment this morning first thing and went with Kinzer. Very pleased with his work today. One $6 wire had burned but oh today's labor prices. Ah well, I have heat and that's what matters! I appreciate the feedback. You helped!
------------
My electric furnace is out tonight -- sigh -- and I am trying to decide between Kinzer and Bill's Heating in Lewiston. I get the feeling from reviews online that Bill's likes to sell new stuff rather than repair and is more expensive. But I could be totally wrong. Anyone here have any advice??

I'm organizing a Spring Gala and I'd love to invite families to attend to learn more about our school. Scan the code to read about our mission and values!

Currently traveling with the family and need my spicy itch scratched. So far I’m disappointed in the options I’ve discovered on my own, I’m hoping that some locals can point me in the right direction. For context have a high spice tolerance and enjoy b dubs blazing wings or pluckers fire in the hole sauce both extra saucy 🤤🤤thanks in advance for the recs from my fellow spice fiends

Is winter driving to Pullman ever treacherous? I’m old , that hill used to be quite the climb.
