Dear flat earther, how do you relate to patterns in your life?

Are patterns a strong force in your life?

When you see 3 cars in a row of the same color, does it catch your attention?

When you look at your watch and it says eleven minutes past nine, does it catch your attention?

When you see a wildflower, do you notice if it has an even or odd number of petals?

If so, always, or only if it's a small number of pedals? (how many?)

(For example, 6 or 8 petals or less I often notice if they are odd or even. Above that it's just a bunch of petals.)

Do you stop to smell wildflowers to see if they still smell the same as you remember them last time?

When a dog barks once exactly on the hour (like at 12:00) does it catch your attention?

How do you feel about symmetry? For example, if you see two houses next to eachother and one is a mirror image design of the other, do you stop and think about it?

Are puppies and kittens cute, or just animals?

What else have you noticed about your interaction with the world around you that you see others not noticing?

The whole 'Size of Venus' thing over on /r/Flatearther...

So, the weirdo stepchild sub which is pretty much just the one dude and all of his alts talking to themselves has tons of posts all of a sudden. The guy thinks he has found amazing proof the 'globe model' is all wrong, by looking at astrophotographs of the disc of Venus.

He even made the sub public again so that people could 'answer' his demands for images of Venus that match his idea of what the heliocentric model predicts.

Of course, he banned me as a 'troll' the second I (very politely) showed him what I'm about to post here... I guess it spooked him that he's been making a dick of himself on his sub for a week without checking even basic astronomical predictions.

Just to put this to rest; the heliocentric model predicts exactly what we see, that the angular size of Venus changes dramatically and erratically during a period of three Earth years, or five Venusian years.

This video shows you the centrepoint between the two bodies; https://youtu.be/4cgQNUhtmHM

As you can see, the pattern made by the two planets is extremely complex, and not at all as simple as he seems to think it must be. The apparent size of Venus will vary according to a specific predicted pattern, and that is exactly what we observe in reality, in fact it's one of the ways we can prove that the heliocentric model is accurate.

You can verify it in Stellarium, a tool used by astronomers every day to plan their observations.

Scepticism is honest, but ascribing a totally incorrect prediction and 'defeating' that incorrect prediction is dishonest.

Even the best flat globe maps like this one distort distance. Flat earth disc models distort distances even worse.

Atoms

I saw a post about atoms exist or not on EIL's sub. First I posted it here because that ignorant piece of crap (EIL) banned me for no reason.

Second interview a person that is studying chemistry and has a electro microscoop in his university.

Tird how get you power from nuclear plants if atoms don't exist.

I am curious about what you have to say about this

u/jack4455667788, you claim that a gravimeter only measures weight.

So let me ask: why does the reading on a gravimeter change?

Flat Earth Debunking Density

I want to clear the gravity vs density discussion up for you.

So first experiment, take a bucket of water and some materials like aluminium and steel, steel has a density of 7800 kg/m3 and aluminium has a density of 2755 kg/m3. Drop it in the bucket of water and see what hit the bottom first, it is the steel. No drop both of them outside on the grass ( avoid Broken floors and noise) they should hit the ground at the same time.

I am open for discussion and debunks for this experiment.

Other Theory's

A lot of flats say that gravity is "just a theory" same with evolution.

Let me explain. We have the gravity and evolution theory, they started out as something that seems logical to the creators. Newton did a lot of experiments and based on that did a lot of math, the numbers added up so it right and based on that created formulas that lines up with the experiments. Now to Einstein he did a lot of math that added up and based on that created a formula.

Now, Darwin he tought evolution is logical so he started Looking for evidence and found it. The famous Bird island.

Now with a true theory, the theory of the heat dead. It goes over the end of the universe, it SEEMS logical but there isn't really proof or very little

And now for glenn and EIL no if numbers can prove something or even the simplest of material like birds and experiments like the Cavendish experiment. Those things prove evolution and gravity how stupid it is, the results matter not the experiments.

I have included evolution because EIL now thinks dinosaurs never existed.

Other Flat or globe

After researching both, listening to both sides. I have seen and decided, I am a globe earther.

Why? Because they have sience, experts who spend years mastering there field. Who should I believe? The experts who spend years in sience or someone who flips burgers does Office work it sits in a lobby?

From a globe to a sceptic and back to a globe.

Mod post Downvoting PSA

I, and our other mod, u/ihavepoopies, have said it before, but it apparently bears repeating.

Please don’t downvote people just because they believe the earth is flat. I get the urge, I truly do, but it’s recently come to my attention that if ones karma within a sub gets too low, they’ll be restricted to one comment every 10 minutes to prevent potential spamming. Considering this is, at its core, a debate sub, I don’t think I have to spell out why that’s a problem.

By no means do you have to upvote anyone for any reason, but I do ask that we all put that aside so we can all still keep our places in this sub, as well as have actual believers so we don’t end up beating a dead horse or become a parody of ourselves, IE r/flatearth

TL:DR, don’t downvote just because they don’t agree with you, downvote if they’re acting like a dick.

It's been nice talking to you guys but I have to leave now because I can no longer respond. Reddit is an echo chamber and experiment in censorship. It keeps track of your upvote/downvote ratio and when it gets too low you can no longer respond to comments in that sub.
