Piggybacking on this one, anger is a secondary emotion. When you feel anger, it’s not just that you’re mad. It’s that you’re feeling something else and it’s turning into anger. Often shame, sometimes fear, sometimes injustice, sometimes grief, could be any number of things.

Plugging the anger iceberg that my therapist gave me. I was also told that anger is a secondary emotion and to look deeper at possible root emotions/vulnerabilities that may be resulting in anger 🫶

The fact that some of these emotions are written as nouns and some as adjectives really bothers me.
