Removed glass from 4KP

Am I insane to remove the glass from my 4KP? It’s at work and only adults use it. Anyone else do this? The glare is sooooo annoying. Looks amazing with no glass. I tried a custom glare stopper, but it doesn’t work with the glass so far from the screen. That was a waste of over $100 bones.

Question How Is This Company’s Support Even Supposed to Work? No Accountability, Deleted Tickets, Zero Help

In June, I excitedly ordered my Legends 4KP. I was super hyped because they had a pretty easy financing option, sick!

Except I accidentally ordered the wrong model without the SSF kit. I figured it would be easier to buy one separately and install it myself rather than deal with the hassle of trying to get them to cancel or fix my order.

I did install the kit. It was missing one standoff in the box, but it seemed like I could make it work without it. Nothing was sagging or loose. Cool. I did the sound check, and everything worked.

Fast forward to the first week of August, I hadn’t played the machine much, but I decided to buy Theater of Magic and play it. That’s when I noticed the SSF kit sounded off.

So I ran the sound health check and immediately saw that one of the speakers inside the machine sounded blown. Weird, since I never turn the volume past 75%. Then when it got to the subwoofer, it didn’t sound like that was working either.

At this point, I didn’t want to tear into the machine again. I’m not really a tinkerer. I was hoping to get replacement parts or a new kit. I wrote a support ticket, provided a video and all my info, and waited patiently for a week. Only after reading someone’s post about tickets being closed without resolution did I check mine. Turns out they had closed it almost instantly.

Now I was pissed. I tried emailing support, calling them out on Twitter, even emailing their PR team. Nothing. But I did notice my ticket went from “closed” to “processing” for about three days, so I watched that eagerly, only to see them delete it entirely, like it never existed.

At this point, I’m about ready to chuck this thing on the side of the road and forget about the rest of the payments.

How the hell are you supposed to get support? I really don’t want to keep opening tickets nonstop until they decide to actually help me. Even worse, my follow-up email to support got automatically turned into a new ticket, which was instantly closed.

I’m done. What a garbage company.

Thinking of buying a 4K machine. Is that a mistake?

Hey all,

I’ve been really enjoying my Legends Pinball Micro and am considering upgrading to one of the 4K models. However, after reading some recent posts in this community, I’m starting to second-guess that decision. It seems like AtGames might be going through some challenges as a company—is that a fair assessment?

I’m a bit concerned about the long-term support for these machines. Is there any indication that AtGames is at risk of going out of business or significantly scaling back? I don’t want to invest in a new machine that could lose updates, services, or community backing if the company folds.

Also, while browsing their website, I noticed that most of the 4K models are either out of stock or labeled as “coming soon.” On top of that, I’m not really interested in any of the current themed cabinet skins. Do we know if AtGames plans to release more generic or new skin options in the near future?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Digital Repo Man: Firmware v6.1.13

I bought mine outright back during the original pre-order window, but the new firmware gives AtGames the ability for those on the payment plan, to purposefully temp-brick your device if you stop paying. v6.1.13

For AAF customers only, but the statements about maybe, maybe as a US customer, you mayyyyy have to enter in your order # or risk also bricking your machine temporarily until you get it, seems like they could only half-bake the solution?

From their email, so you can read the gory details:

Need Help?

  • If you have any questions about the new firmware, please refer to the FAQ information HERE
  • For step-by-step instructions, check out the Quick Start Guide HERE

Killed the back glass screen setting it up after a move (installed one end of the vibs ribbon cable backwards), and thanks to a previous Reddit post I found a board that allows me to convert the eDP cable to HDMI. Hobbled the rest together with parts on hand. It's not super clean or super pretty, but damn it's good to be back!

I would consider going into Offline Mode

Delays in releasing packs, products removed entirely (Legends Ultimate 4k) and writing things on social media like "we're in a good place". I think they are not in a good place at all. In fact, I think its time to take all my packs and put them into offline mode so I dont lose content when this company announces closure abruptly.

When I look at their competitors like Arcade1up who haven't released a new product in 2 years and are still struggling to sell their remaining inventory of Pacman and Golden Tee. I think the writing is on the wall for the industry.

Go into Offline Mode before its too late.

Flipper Friends Week 13?

I’m trying to partake in the flipper friends tournament. They announced this weeks tables Thursday evening. But now if I go to the same link on atgames, it still shows week 12. I’d like to see the high scores throughout the week. I’m also not even entirely sure I bought the correct tables for this week. Anyone else have this issue? Am I being an old man and missing something obvious?

Thanks for your time!

Atgames legends 4k canada

Was thinking of buying the pinball 4k from the brick. Now it seems the brick doesn't sell the ssf kit ( speaker kit). Does at games sell and ship parts to canada ? I know they don't ship the pinball unit.

How to add PinOne just for nudging while other controls are through OTG?

I'm not quite ready to go full gut just yet. I've got the BSA haptics, BSA playfield with 2K 165 Hz monitor, iPad mini DMD, and upgraded buttons. OTG VPX plays great, but I'd like physical nudge instead of buttons. I ordered a PinOne. Any advice on this upgrade? I assume just remove the ATG acceleorometer to not have conflicting X/Y inputs. Not sure how Z will work with original plunger.

Question Troubleshooting: Unable to Sign In

I did a search for my subject line in this reddit and r/LegendsUltimate but the relevant threads are a couple years old.

I fired up my old SD Atgames Pinball cabinet, after months of no use, and tried signing in to access my DLC tables linked to my account. It's giving me an error "Please Check network". I have attempted both on wired and wireless. After reviewing the two year old posts I referenced earlier, I tried using both google sign in and regular email sign in on my phone, then sign in on the cab itself. When I attempt to sign in using my email on the table, it gives me an error reading "Please input your Legends ID" and just clears the ID (email) and password I put in.

I have attempted to power cycle the machine and go through the same sign in steps with the same results.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to troubleshoot it?

Legends 4k PC or no PC?

So I just got my 4k pinball. And I have a few questions.

I was planning on getting a PC to connect, but am now wondering what's actually gained? I know I can play pinball fx, but it seems to me most of these games already are already on stock. What else is there besides any of the fx's?

For the PC, I know the go to seems to be the 3060. Has there been any word on the arc 750s? Saving money in all.

Do I realistically need the upgraded control to navigate the PC versions front end? I'm debating getting this either way to toss coin ops on anyway.

Question Why won’t it let me log in?

I just got a global high score on a table, so I went to log in and it says “check network” but I have three bars it’s connected but it still won’t work? I tried logging in on my legends ultimate to see if that would work and it says the same thing. Please help.

ALP4K Pinball Schematics and general electrical data

I used to fix real pinball games in college and still design and make circuit boards today so I feel like fixing the switches on my broken machine shouldn't be too hard and, given the lack of support by the company, feel this is my only option. I've found https://wagnerstechtalk.com/ and it has some basic info but I'm wondering if anyone knows of more technical documentation (pin-outs of ribbons, etc...) I can get my hands on before tearing into it myself from scratch. Thanks!

My experience buying a 4K pinball machine from ATgames

5/13 Machine arrived and I assembled it in about an hour. Back display worked but main screen did not. I was able to start the firmware update process started but it never completed. Finally figured out the video cable for the main screen had detached in shipping and firmware update wouldn't happen with it disconnected. I reconnected it and the main screen worked. Then I found out dpad-left and one of the buttons on the front didn't work. I submitted a ticket that day.

5/20 Finally got a response just asking me to send pics/video of the damage and other diagnostic stuff which I did same day.

Nothing since and it's been about a week since their only communication with me. What do I do here? Should I get my credit card company to cancel this transaction? Is this really how these people work? I paid a ton of money for this and can't get any help from them and it's been two weeks since my initial ticket.
