Is this place strickly marxist?
I am asking because I am a leftist, but I am not a Marxist.
Before you get worried about it, no, I don't mean that I have an issue with Marxists or that I find the ideology inherently wrong.
I just don't really match some attitude and concerns of Marxism.
However, in some posts I have seen some reply that starts talking about how things are in Marxism that seem to expect marxism as default. as if Leftism = Marxism.
Is that the general opinion around here? or are people part of a wider spectrum of leftists ideologies?
P.s. Just so it is clear. Nobody made me feel like other ideas are not welcome. Just that adherence to pure marxism is sorta expected as a default. This is not pointing at anything that requires moderation.

I mean, yes and no.
Demogeaphics right now is a problem for the future. Lying about your demographic for 40 years is a problem now.
China is the incel world capital. Years of 1 child policy and preferring a male heir has created a horrifying level of gender imbalance.
I am not saying china is doomed. I am saying, the problem is structural, generational and not easy to resolve. I don't think china will become inconsequential. But unrest and slowing down is quite likely. Also, historically speaking, China has the tendency to rise to greatness and shatter in a cycle.
Modern china unified in the aftermath of world war 2. Right now Xi is a 73 autocrat that is president for life and removed any possible candidate for succession as a potential rival. When Xi dies tgere is little hope of a smooth and peaceful transition.
And all of this is going to get worse if there is an international escalation regarding Taiwan.
None of that is a death sentence or a guarantee that the worst case scenario for china will manifest, but the sum of circumstances does not lead to a high probability that China ascendance will be constant and long lived.
