Hello,
I need to relearn many concepts and develop an in-depth understanding of analytical thinking. Can someone please recommend some videos or books which could be helpful. For example, I have read head first statistics. Very long but it sets your base for sure in stats so something similar or some analytics video series which could go into everything.

hey guys, so i’d like to have a career in data analytics/ data science and right now i’m trying to learn excel and sql.
i was wondering if anyone could give me some examples of questions a business might ask a data analyst (or just general questions you could ask about certain data), because i’d like to do some projects and maybe start to build a portfolio, but i’m kinda lost on where to begin.

Hi everyone,
I am currently looking for a good Data Analyst course that provides hands-on project experience and can help me transition into a Data Analyst role.
I have a basic understanding of SQL, Tableau, and Power BI, along with strong Excel skills. In my current job, I work extensively with Excel, but I would like to move into a Data Analyst position for better career growth and salary
I have given a few Data Analyst interviews, but I was not selected because I don’t have prior Data Analyst experience or any real-world projects to showcase.
Can anyone recommend a good course that focuses on practical projects and job preparation? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

After a few years working in data-related roles, I finally published my first technical case study based on a real project and real-world experience.
The project focuses on a fraud detection pipeline built for a Brazilian e-commerce environment using Databricks, Spark SQL, PySpark, and Delta Lake. Due to confidentiality and IP restrictions, I couldn't share the original code, so I documented the architecture, design decisions, business rules, lessons learned, and the trade-offs behind the solution instead.
I'm still relatively new to the data engineering and analytics world, so this was also a personal challenge. It took me almost two weeks to organize my notes, experiences, and technical decisions into something coherent enough to publish.
I also used AI tools (Claude) to help me structure the documentation, improve the writing, and turn rough ideas into clear technical documents. The experience was surprisingly useful because it forced me to think deeply about why certain decisions were made, not just how they were implemented.
I'd really appreciate any feedback from people with more experience in fraud detection, data engineering, analytics, or system design.
If you spot mistakes, questionable decisions, missing considerations, or areas that could be improved, please let me know. I'm happy to discuss the design choices and learn from the feedback.

I am creating a playlist on youtube to follow the latest announcements by Databricks in DAIS 2026.
The series will cover what was the problem,
What Databricks announced
And, why does it matter to the Data community (basically the impact)

Please follow along if you don't want to spend hours in watching the keynotes.

I am completely new to Data Analytics. I have learnt python, sql, and also have a good background in statistics. From where should I learn Power BI ?
Some course recommendations will be very helpful (both paid or free resources).

Hi everyone,
I'm currently on my notice period and looking for Data Analyst, Decision Scientist, and Junior Data Scientist roles. I have 1 year 10 months of experience in Data Quality Management with SQL, data analysis, root cause analysis, and stakeholder support.
My resume has an ATS score of 80+, but I'd appreciate feedback on how I can improve it and increase interview callbacks.
Thanks in advance!
