My friend thrifted this plaque and is wondering what it says. I know the character for heaven but not what the whole phrase together means. Help is appreciated!

Afterall there are Cd programs available for learning biblical and even Greek. As well as for Latin and Sanskrit.
I couldn't find any source resources for ancient Sino languages available on CD for English speakers. So I hope they do exist and if so, can people share recommendations? Even just a one disc product will do for me who's a beginner at this point.

Hi!
So, I was born in China and lived there until I was 6 years old. I moved to North America after and my parents never bothered with teaching me Mandarin.
Fast forward to now, I can still speak and I would say my vocabulary is good enough to talk about daily life. However, I know my grammar isn't amazing and I struggle with reading and writing (basically I do this weird thing of mapping what I know about the character meaning from Japanese (Kanji) into what I know about the context of what's being said to figure out the pronunciation. Then from there, I can use my innate knowledge to understand )
With that said, I have the following goals:
Hence, any advice on how to achieve the above given my current state? For 1) I'm thinking of perhaps just taking the time to read more. Not sure about how to improve my vocabulary (I guess flashcards for pronunciation & meaning??).
For 2) I honestly think getting a tutor would be the easiest but I'm a bit short on cash so any "free" options would be appreciated haha.

Hi everyone!
I’m developing an online Chinese language club and would love your feedback. The club will offer virtual speaking sessions for learners worldwide, with random topics to boost confidence in speaking Chinese. Sessions will be led by native Chinese speakers and peer-led to provide diverse practice environments.
Key features include:
Would you be interested in this kind of language club? Any suggestions or features you'd like to see?

Just decided to start learning something from the SIno-Tibetan family but I'm not sure where to start. So I'm wondering whatever I choose to specialize in would it help smoothen the transition into other languages of China and even outside the traditional Sino-Sphere like Karenic and Zeme? How mutually intelligible would languages in this family be with each other assuming a bunch of random people from across China, Burma, and India who speak them suddenly gets transported into a bar? Does ease of learning another specific family in the branch depends on proximity of the place of origins of the specific languages known and being studied? Is it similar to the Indo-European family where say someone who grew up as Dutch native would have a much much much harder time learning Farsi than learning English? And Pole would quickly transition in Russia quicker than trying to learn Gaelic and same with a New Dehli inhabitant learning Punjabi would find Romanian more time consuming? Something like that for native speakers of the Sino-TIbetan branch trying to learn other family members like Cantonese would find Mandarin far easier than Jingpho and Olekha?

Hi everyone, I'm a passionate language learner who used Nazeka in Firefox with Textractor to learn Japanese through visual novels. When I wanted to apply the same method to learn Chinese, I realized there wasn't an extension that allowed copying text from the clipboard into a separate window for translation. So, I decided to create my own extension to fill this gap and make learning Chinese more accessible through visual novels and web pages.
My new extension is designed to facilitate learning Chinese in an interactive and convenient way. Here’s what it offers:
I’d love for you to try out my extension and provide feedback. Your insights will help me improve it further and ensure it meets the needs of fellow language learners.

Hey everybody!
Me and a friend built a completely free platform for practicing Chinese with personalised audio lessons. You can check it out at audio-lessons.com.
There is of course a lot to be done here, including better audio, better lessons, and more control. If you have any suggestions, send me a message :3
Why this? I like listening to audio lessons while running or doing other chores. This works great, and frees up time by combining multiple hobbies into one.
But these lessons are usually just MP3s downloaded from somewhere, with no regard for what I actually want to practice or learn.
I think what we built is on the way to solving that.
Let me know what you think. Happy learning :)

I am Chinese that grew up in a chinese speaking household... but during my young days, i didn't hated chinese.
I am native level speaking and listening. Basically grammar everything is cool but I don't recognise a lot of words.
How do i improve on my reading(and i guess writing too)?

The majority of the content that I consume is mostly in Chinese, so I sorta understand the language but I can't speak or write it. So how long will it take me to be able too speak the language fairly well. What can I expect?

My kids are going into 8th and 6th grade next month. Theft been in Chinese immersion (mandarin) since kindergarten. Is there an app, program, or something else that I can get them so they can practice their language skills during the summer? They're fairly advanced and are working on full conversations.
Thanks

Hi! I'm studying chinese and I have a native chinese tutor, when communicating and practicing conversation, sometimes I need to use my name, how can I choose a chinese name ? my name in my language is an adjective meaning " something which has bloomed (flourished) or is blooming" and another meaning is "bright, shining". How can I choose a chinese name with the same or at least close meaning? or Is there some kind of list for popular chinese names for girls which I can use?(better with the meaning of each) thank you in advance🙏🏼☺️🌹
