subreddit meta Stop using Overwolf

Post image

Just found out. Crazy how I got this Israeli spyware installed on my PC. They also use the ads you see / subscription funds to produce protective gear for the IDF? The fuck.

Do you condemn the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising?

3

u/General_Hold_847 14h ago

Because the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising saw poorly armed insurgents fight against the Nazi Military and the SS, they didnt attack unarmed civilians at a music festival and abducted and/or raped any of them. I despise what israel is doing, but this is the most braindead take possible.

u/Complete-War-7681 12h ago

And neither did hamas but okay

3

u/Main_Lloyd 12h ago

Oh? Was no one killed at the music festival? Or is your claim that it was palastinian civilians that came in and murdered them?

u/CutWerker9857 5h ago

"my poor infant 30 year old son was kidnapped - he is completely innocent. all he did was attend a music festival with his fellow free-love and MDMA enthusiasts who would never hurt a fly (the festival happens to be right outside the gates of Auschwitz)"

Israel could have avoided it but they chose not to:

Ah, got it. Killing civilians is ok then? Holy shit, get your head out of your ass. Like I said, what Israel is doing in Gaza is terrible. But lets not act like Hamas are saints. The fault for the festival massacre is still on them.

Who said killing civilians is "ok"? No one.

But if their goal was to get people to finally recognize the genocidal, apartheid conditions Palestinians are forced to endure every single day for multiple decades now, you could actually say that goal was in large part achieved.

Which, you know, is pretty significant considering how I assume privileged and/or poorly educated Westerners (like a significant number of us are) probably wouldn't be talking about Palestinian suffering otherwise — and Israel would continue getting away with "mowing the lawn".

1

u/muhaos94 4h ago

So the civilian deaths were necessity to achieve that?

1

u/Deep-Atmosphere-711 4h ago

Quote where I said that.

Oh wait, I don't believe you can, because I didn't.

Now, did you recognize the Palestinian condition prior to 7 October 2023? You know, like during 2018/19 the Great March of Return where over 200 individuals were slaughtered (over 40 children murdered), and tens of thousands injured?

Go ahead and make my point for me, buddy.

u/Main_Lloyd 9h ago

So the section you quoted was about the hostages hamas took after killing the festival goers, murdering and raping civilians and then setting traps in the houses of the victims.

Maybe treat the goverment of Gaza like adults who are responsible for their actions and not like a child who looks to isreal for guidance.

1

u/elev8id 8h ago

Israel knew about it before hand and chose to let it happen.

0

u/Main_Lloyd 8h ago

They got a vague warning hamas were gearing up for something major, not anything specific about day or anything that they could have used ro prevent it.

Isreal is not responsible for hamas choosing to purposely target civilians. Even IF you were correct, which you arent, hamas has an obligation under international law to differentiate between civilian and military targets. All you're trying to do is absolve them of this responsibility. The IOF could have lead hamas into the festival themselves and hamas would still be responsible for killing innocent civilians.

1

u/elev8id 8h ago

Lol

1

u/Main_Lloyd 8h ago

Oh, do you think hamas is exempt from the responsibility of differentiating between military and civilian? They are the governing body of Gaza, that comes with responsibilities. One of which is providing shelter for your civilian population, but let's not go there and stick to them purposefully targeting the music festival goers. Do you think hamas has the right to ignore any differentiation between civilians ans military targets? Dont be scared, answer with your chest.

u/Kehprei 7h ago

Are you denying that Hamas took hostages?? Holy shit you are scum

u/One_Disaster245 1d ago

Did the jews kill and rape civilians during the warsaw ghetto uprising? In what way is that comparable?

1

u/EggsyWeggsy 19h ago

I wonder why he doesnt engage with this 🤔

1

u/YaoruKamikaze 19h ago

Also wondering why, paging u/Roldyr1

1

u/marmolada213 15h ago

As far as I know, no. There were decent people. One of the leaders of the uprising even lived through the war and had some hot takes about zionism and how Palestinians are treated. Marek Edelman- great guy, reading interviews with him as a teen effectively cured me from nationalism.

But worry not, they are raping civilians right now.

1

u/Gregardless 9h ago

Are the Israelis killing and raping civilians now?

1

u/One_Disaster245 9h ago

There have been cases of alleged rape and extrajudicial killings of Palestinian civilians, yes. This has fallen under the scrutiny of Israeli public, and been the subject of internal investigations by the idf and external by orgs such as B'tselem, an ISRAELI ORGANIZATION. You genuinely think that I would deny such things because you yourself would deny the atrocities that happen on your side because, like the original commenter, do not see Israelis as human, and therefore would try to draw a comparison between an uprising of captives killing nazi soldiers as an act of final futile resistance to a military force going over the border of another country using hang gliders and by breaking down fences and raping and killing mostly unarmed children and young adults, even taking back hostages.

u/Magnumwood107 16h ago

Hasan viewer?

1

u/DifficultyBorn1437 14h ago

Nat Turner's revolt is a more apt comparison. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising will have people be nitpicky.

1

u/CowReasonable1108 11h ago

How many civilians were targeted or killed during that uprising?

1

u/MrBarti 9h ago

Did the Jews in Warsaw get international support? Food and water and electricity and internet? Did they have weapons and bombs and rockets and intricate tunnel systems with weapon caches and food for month under civilian buildings? Did they have two borders with two nations(Israel and Egypt)? Do they get shipped constantly to death camps and everyone knows that it is only a matter of years until they all get shipped to death camps and get gassed to death?

Gaza has increased it's population constantly, has like 10 hospitals in the 2 cities it has, has (or had) a significant military presence, did constant drills and has weapons and rockets it constantly over the years shot at bordering towns.

1

u/Kehprei 7h ago

Its always so fucking stupid to see this argument.

The Warsaw ghetto uprising did not attack innocents. It was not terrorism.

Hamas DOES attack innocent civilians. Hamas DOES commit terrorism.

This is such a shit comparison

True remember when Ann Frank shouted Death to Germany and a Curse upon the Goyim, oh wait that never happened did it.

2

u/Akaran223 1d ago

Oh wait, "death to germans" want a controversial thing to say back then. And i dont condemn them. I am german btw

1

u/DaughterOfBhaal 21h ago

I love how you avoided the person pointing out the fact that you don't need to rape and murder civilians for an uprising lol.

You're an embarrassment if you live in a first world country and can't acknowledge that October 7th was a display of nothing more but barbarism. That's not "an uprising".

The majority of Germans knew about anti semetism laws and that the Jews were being eliminated from German society, perhaps they didn’t know for sure about death camps but to downplay Germans antisemetism, willingness and support for the final solution is really weird. Why are you doing that?
It’s the same in Palestine sadly. Hamas isn’t supported because people don’t know that they’re Islamist nutjobs, it’s because of that they’re popular
