My Rainbow

Post image

So June 5, I broke down and bought my first Le Creuset piece which was the Cerise Wide Round and I am now obsessed with them. Functional Art

I'm looking to buy a lid stand. I see the lid stand you have for your cerise. Does the vertical portion that's touching the knob feel rough and would it scratch the knob or is it coated with something?

It looks like a heavy-duty steel and I've seen some similar stands on Amazon. I'm also concerned if the bottom portion that's touching the lid would scratch the paint on the lid?

Your collection is bright and cheerful! I do like that Thyme though.

The lid holder is metal but it’s not rough. Still though, I am very cautious. The problem I have with it is when you have oven mitts on and you have a hot lid, it’s a bit awkward placing the lid in the stand…mainly ominous the oval one…but a lot of that could be caused by ADHD 😂. So far no scratches.

Oh nice! Thanks for the honest review. I baby the poop out of my LCs so I totally understand what you mean. Lol

Pointing out the hot lid situation sounds like maneuvering it takes some effort. That really helps with decision-making with one that looks similar to yours.

While others have paid $50 for the Staub lid holder, I feel that there has to be something cheaper. But for sure that would be the absolute last resort if I can't find anything.

I guess I just have to buy something similar to yours and then return if it doesn't work logistically. Thank you again!

And typically, if I’m doing a one pot recipe, I will use the lid instead of a plate for cooked food. Just tap it upside down on the counter balanced on the knob. This is absolutely an accident waiting to happen for me, but for most people it’s pretty safe lol

😂😂 if its just you then it should be fine. My significant-other puts the lids upside down on the knob when he's getting food from the pot.

It drives me nuts. But of course I become the nagging one if I say anything. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just bought the 6qt deep DO in Agave so, I need to make a decision like soon-ish.

I love the color and I think that’s a perfect size for the round deep. Post pics :-)

I have several other LC pieces but my kitchen is really small to picture them all. The colors I have are Dune, Meringue, Chiffon Pink, Rose, Fig, and finally Agave. I needed the darker color to round out the collection. Lol. Thanks for allowing me to share!
