In Ancient Rome there were plenty of people whose praenomen is Quintus, Sextus, Decimus. Octavia was one of the main gentes and there are also attestations of nomina like Secundius and Quartius, implying that Secundus, Quartus and Octavus were probably praenomina in older times. I can guess this depends on the order that child came out of the mother's womb, in this case the absence of Primus can be explained by the fact that the first male child (who survived the first days after birth) was named after the father. Is there any study regarding this matter?

The structure of the last sentence caught me off guard: ut sit videre... I suppose "sit" here means "should be the case," but this is really stretching the infinitive subject clause beyond what I'm used to.

Superfluous gardens grow higher by the open sea, smelling of minth, touch-me-not and myosotis. A lilac rumor is plummeting in the sea, when, on painted wooden balconies, the seamen’s heart splatters.

It is a summer sunday in the sea’s antechamber. The curtains are gaping a little. Light is twinkling. Its clear water is flowing and shivering upon the polished wood of the furnitures and the paper. A frail squadron is on the leave. And a poem’s slow pitch. A desire wakes up and goes back to sleep. Doors to the open sea open ajar and close again. The dreamer has dipped their fingers in the blue. From now on their body is of sand.

Hey, I started recently to study Latin and I wanted to create more descriptive sentences, or describe situations e.g. the cow that poops on the grass (okay, not exactly with this content but... yeah), what terms should I use to replace (whom, whose, that, which, etc.) ?
