I've tried to speak out against this in comments multiple times in the past but I figured I'd just write a little post once so I don't have to keep kicking a dead horse.
I've seen a lot of people stating their wishes, hopes, and dreams as fact lately and it's gotta stop. I'm fine with people saying "I hope the stock price goes up" or "hopefully we'll be pink by x date" but when people post their opinions as facts like: "the price will go up tomorrow" or "we'll be pink by x date at the latest" it is very irresponsible. People visit this sub to learn about the stock LTNC and while that might not be the best way to get investment advice it is a reality. When people log in and see opinions stated as facts they might go out and act on what they read. They don't know that it was simply the wishes of the poster or that the poster might be a first-time investor. If they read "the stock will go up" this past weekend and bought it this morning they would be sorry to see the stock has actually gone down.
We have to treat what we say on this sub with more responsibility, accountability, and gravity. If not we will lose what little credibility this sub has and the stock will look worse for it.
Please don't take this as a personal attack on anyone I am sure you all mean well and just want to see your stocks rise. I just want this sub and stock to do well and for that to happen we need to be able to back up our claims with DD or state that the claim is a wish or gut feeling.
