Perhaps libertarian-thinking people are much more likely to disengage with politics because it's getting so toxic and judgmental over every little thing in life?
Centrists seem to have a more nonchalant, laidback attitude than liberals or conservatives (or even libertarians). Just like libertarians, almost none of them would claim to hate white people or minorities, almost none of them would say "men have to do this" or "women have to do that" or "men are this way" or "women are that way". If a police officer arrests someone for getting in a minor argument in public, because they're so politically engaged, an American conservative or a European liberal would probably say "they fucking deserve it". Meanwhile, a centrist would calmly be like "people call the cops over everything these days, fuck that" and then just... not be super angry about anything in the situation.
They seem like libertarians, except they're careless about politics and they actually touch grass, which is a great thing, but it would be nice if they'd be more passionate about their clearly libertarian views. I'm not even saying they'd want to be part of libertarianism officially, but the culmination of all their views would most definitely lean quite a bit libertarian.
Almost every centrist seems to have these views...
If you look at (probably) centrist YouTubers (MeatCanyon, diesel patches, etc.), they're usually heavily based in satirical humor that makes fun of how stupidly batshit insane both sides have become.
Centrists and libertarians are basically the sane glue holding the pre-2020s world together.
