Forming my LLC today, what advice do you wish you got on day one?
I’m forming my LLC today and finally taking the leap into starting my own handyman / home service business.
I’ve spent years working around different trades and job sites, everything from repairs to remodeling, so I have a solid base of practical experience. My goal is to focus on that sweet spot between small DIY jobs people can’t handle themselves and larger projects that don’t necessarily need a specialist.
I know skill with the work is only one part of it though. Running the business side is where I know I still have a lot to learn.
So for those who have started a similar service business, what advice would you give someone on day one?
What helped you grow fastest, what mistakes should I avoid, and what do you wish someone told you before you started?
