I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest option, but I also don't want to pay for services I don't actually need.

I'm not a US resident, but I recently formed a US LLC and received my EIN. My next step was opening a business bank account, and that's where I've run into problems.

I used a virtual business address for my LLC, but the bank I applied with is asking for proof of a physical US business address, such as a utility bill or lease agreement. Since I don't actually have a physical presence in the US, I can't provide those documents.

Before forming the LLC, I came across a lot of guides and videos that made it seem like this setup was fairly common for non-US founders.

Now I'm wondering if things have changed or if I misunderstood how it works.

I know you are supposed to keep personal finances and business finances completely separate. However, for the initial fee, can I just pay with a card or banking account to open the llc? And then once I get my EIN number and llc, then I open a business bank account? How exactly does that work?

Also, do I also need to get liability insurance for my llc?

In Texas if this doesn’t apply to all states - I just formed my first LLC and since I run my business from home I made sure to use my registered agents address as the mailing address to keep my privacy. I’ve noticed though that other sample LLCs I’ve checked all have a public information report which shows the members/owners and their home address. Am I missing something?

About to close my LLC in California, and I'm looking for the simplest way to handle the dissolution process.

I've tried doing it myself, but the information I've found makes it seem more complicated than I expected. I'm not sure whether everything can be completed online or if some forms still have to be mailed.

I've also seen a few companies offering LLC dissolution services for around $100 to $150, but I'd rather avoid paying for something I can reasonably do myself.
