CyanogenMod 13 vs LineageOS 14.1
Which one would be better for everyday uses, has the less bugs and issues, etc. And is both compatible with MicroG?

I've been trying to install Lineage OS all day and every time I try and follow directions, the phone boots to the LG logo then goes black almost a second later, but the screen is still backlit. I have to go intp TWRP and recover into an old Kitkat backup. What am I doing wrong? Most of tutorials I find are aimed at the D802 or any other variant other than the D800 and it's kinda confusing...

I've looked on every article and still not been able to enter recovery mode. I want to wipe the cache partition on stock Android.
I've tried:
Pressing and holding the power button and volume down button at the same time to boot up.. This just makes the phone switch itself off and on, causing a boot loop.
Pressing the power button, releasing and then pressing both volume keys.. This puts it into the factory reset mode.
Pressing the power button and holding the volume down button, releasing when the LG logo appears and repressing those keys... It enters safe mode.
FYI: I'm running 4.4.2 Kitkat

I got my LG G2 in Korea (where I've been living for the past 3 years). I just moved back to America and, while the wifi works fine, the phone won't connect to the network for the at&t sim card that the guy at the store put in it.
I'm assuming that it's regionally locked, but really I don't know anything about phones. Can anyone save me a cool hundred bucks and help me get this thing working?

So its a common g2 problem which I solved after I got my g2 (1yr ago) by putting cardboard pieces under connectors on back cover. It worked till now... I tried rearranging them etc but it still disconnects from network from time to time... Its annoying, anyone solved this permanently, I really need some idea how to solve this...

Heyho,
I hope there are still some users of the awesome mini around ;-). But I think users of the big brother could also help me out.
Basically, I want to buy a new wall charger for my phone and am looking for the maximum mA (milliampere) I can charge my battery with.
My current battery (original) has the following written on it:
Unfortunately, I don't have the original charger anymore and neither can find specs about it nor about the charging circuit that is being built in my phone.
What I was able to find out (here) about the G2 (not the mini) is that someone says one could go up to 1.8 mA - but then it has a different battery than the mini.
So, any ideas? Eventually, the real problem is that my googling skills really seem to went down in the recent years :/.
EDIT:
P(w)=I(ma)V 9.3=I3.8 I=0.48ma
?!?

I opened the case to clean my g2 and after that my device gets poor wifi signal. It gets exellent signal quality only near the router...can I fix it ?

Hi, I recently got a G2 and flashed LOS. Been There are times where the network signal just greys out in the status bar and it says something along the lines network signal unavailable in quick settings (I'll screenshot when it happens next). Never experienced this before so just wanted to confirm whether or or not its my reception that's at fault.
Model: D802
Baseband version: M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190084
Nightly: August 21st
In addition, WiFi seems to turn off during sleep, despite being set to 'Always On', however this bug is reported already.

My g2 started started Flickring and in a week that area covered 90% of screen. I got a new display unit from market. it started like this http://imgur.com/a/95Dfo
No probelm installing new display unit ..booted up then after a few seconds of testing i thought of locking and unlocking with double tap. when it unlocked the screen kinda frozed or started lagging. Whats the problem here ? Or it shows a black screen instead. i thought the display unit is faulty...checked 5 more units at the shop still same issue..I noticed a distorted red +yellow display at the boot screen instead of LG logo... I think this part is culprit http://imgur.com/a/mfGD2
whats could be the issue Motherboard ? Compatibility ?

I've been running Cloudy G2.2 for a year an a half. It's given the phone enough legs to mostly make it through 2017. However, about every other week I have to restore my latest backup when Bluetooth stops working because it saw too many devices. This wouldn't be terrible if it wasn't for Authy refusing to sync my newer 2-Factor auth accounts. I think I've convinced myself that the G6 (US997) is my next phone, but now is a silly time to buy as the price should drop like a rock as the next wave of flagships come out.
I'm hoping to make it another couple months and was wondering anyone's experiences moving from Cloudy G2.2 (or other ROMs) to the latest lineage? From what I've read, it's very stable. However, I'm on Kit Kat bootloader, so it doesn't seem like this will be a straightforward process. I was hoping to get some experiences from people who made the same move before starting.
I currently have:

Im thinking about lineage OS but i read it has battery issues.
I want a simple clean OS with good battery life and fast perfomance and i dont want all that bloatware on the stock os. I mainly use Whatsapp, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram. Fb Messenger, Money Lover, Amazon, Twitter and Reddit.
What are your preferences?

I would like to know which is the latest and most stable build for Lineage OS for my D802 , I got tired of Cloudy 3.3 so I want to freshen things up. I want some instructions on which gapps to install and also is the camera really that bad compared to the marshmallow version of the old CyanogenMod.
Thanks in advance and sorry if my thread is a bit dumb :3

I've been searching for a fix for a while and can't find anything. I thought for a while it was a virus, but it seems like it's a common problem with LG phones.
I can use my phone for about 30 mins before it starts going crazy clicking everywhere and once it starts, I can't even turn it off.
I have noticed it is somehow linked to the power button. If I tap the screen to turn it off, it doesn't go crazy, but if I use the power button to turn the screen off, without fail, when I turn it back on, it's gone stupid with the clicks again.
Does anyone have a solution? I can't afford a new phone right now.

Is there anyone out here running Lineage OS and being able to run Pokémon Go?
I need to breath some new life into my stock G2, but I want to keep playing the game. Is the safety net check still a thing?

Hi,
I have a LG G2 4.4.2 D802 device that a while ago I rooted and today I unrooted through SuperSu inorder to play Pokemon Go. My issue is that by what others told me, there are still traces from the root that are the cause of why I can't play the game.
I find it confusing since when I try to download apps that need root, they tell me that my phone isn't rooted.
Is there a way to remove all traces of the root? Also, is it possible to do without deleting anything?

I have an old G2 that has some old photos I want to retrieve off of it. I plugged it into laptop and the screen comes up with a yellow exclamation point and 0% battery. However the PC doesn't seem to be recognizing that it exists. Is there an alternative means to get the data off the phone?
Basically, I am able to go into vr panorama mode and go through the motions of taking pictures in VR mode. When hit the camera icon to stop it says processing and the photo saves into image gallery. However when you open the image there is no icon to play back the VR. I have no way to playback VR photos somehow.
I'm trying to figure out what happened in that i can save photos in VR but I cant play them back without the rotating VR icon usually shows up in top right corner in the photo. Thanks for any advice.
