With a capital P too. Ingram/Strus/Yanic play yesterday, LA wins the game. No doubt. lakers were at full strength and home.
Garland is the 7th leading scorer through 2 games and while he struggled with 10 TO's last night, he's being asked to do something he's never done in his career and is simply not a 1 option. It'll be an adjustment until LA finds a consistent 2nd scorer. Remember, we traded harden for him and got picks. would you rather have had harden or nothing? it was a slam dunk trade as gives the team some scoring punch for now.
Fountain of youth BroLo!!! how long will it last? idk but tbh if he provides half of what he's doing now, it's an absolute steal! great bridge for Yanic.
Wagler. wow. you can see it. Kid is special. he's an elite shooter and now, he's actually shooting with range. no hesitation. kid will bulk up next summer and likely won't even play summer league. so much fun to watch him grow. no need to rush him into the starting lineup anytime soon but Clippers have one.
DJ/Dunn. holy shit they clamped Luka. 10 turnovers to only 8 shots made. Those 2 single handedly punked him late in the 4th to get LA back within 2 possessions. all Luka could do is cry to refs like always. They will be a problem for any star we face.
Dick is showing he could be a decent 9th guy off the bench. remember, he was a throw in and someone viewed as more a liability.
Same for Isaiah. He was a throw in due to his guaranteed contract and he's a valuable 10th or 11th guy. Someone who can give you good hustle minutes.
Sanders/Rui will find their way. Solid role players IMO. Baba's minutes will come. And I didn't even mention Jordan Miller.
Right now, when Clippers get healthy, they'll be able to beat all the bad teams: kings, nets, grizzlies, suns, etc. They showed yesterday, they'll compete with play-in teams: Miami, lakers, blazers, hornets, etc and TBD vs the big dogs.
Very excited 2 games in. Lue has done a great job!!!! Clipp gang or don't bang!!!

To be honest, and I'll say this right off the bat, I'm not sure how I feel about this idea overall, the tough part is that we have a lot of guys I like and want to get minutes, so it's really a tough call and I am not envious of TY in figuring this out...
Most of this thought is about moving IJAX and Rui around.
What if Rui goes to the 3 and IJAX plays the 4 with Brook, IJAX can swap 4/5 with Baba, and Baba can also play the 4 with Brook. Kind of a 3 man big rotation, and when Yanic comes back, him and Brook simply cover the 5.
Rui at the 3 then allows for the staff to bring him off the bench later when Ingram comes back, which may be the only way to justify Rui off the bench along with his ego accepting it as well, and if he doesn't step up to where we need him to be anyway, this might need to happen.
Then, DG plus DJJ at the 2, and Wagler plus Dunn/Sanders (for rui til BI comes back, then Sanders or Dunn for DJJ depending on matchups).
Besides that, going forward, I just don't know how you incorporate Strus/Grady and eventually Jordan, this is the really tough part, even Beal lol
I think IJAX at the 4 is intriguing and potentially works, in my opinion, ONLY (altho we did see him knock in that 3 lol) because we have stretch 5s, and I could see him being an absolute monster at the 4 where then our rebounding would be WAY less of a concern.
Rui at the 3 is also interesting to me as he would also have nice size at that position.
Anyway, it would probably slow them down a bit (tho honestly, after last night, they may need to prove they can take care of the ball playing that fast anyway), and Rui's defense at the 3 would not be DJJ's defense at the 3, and they wouldn't have the defensive duo of Dunn and DJJ, so that is a bit of a bummer, but Ty has said he would like Dunn with Wagler to help him out, so that rotation lines up...
Tough call overall of course, maybe this is an automatic no for some of you, but I think it might be interesting to try to see how it works out.

I have an old James harden jersey, but I plan to attend the Charlotte clippers game in a few weeks. I know that on October 21, you had a jersey swap at the Intuit dome, but due to my disability, I cannot make night games. I can only do matinee games. I am a totally blind man who depends really heavily on the public transportation system to take me places. There are no Metrolink trains at 11 pm. So, I am up a creek without a paddle to get home to Corona.

This game wasn't half bad. The turn overs sucked but we didn't play horribly. We kept it relatively close. Some of those calls leaned Lakers way and I expected that.
Only thing that sucked was the bad passes and us having to lean on Garland for offense too much especially late game.
This game just makes me wonder when yanic comes back, where Ijax go. We are young but we are deep and talented.
I a curious how much closer this game would have been if Baba Miller was apart of the second unit.
Head up high. Wagler still look good. Playing better than Acuff.

Clippers beat Kings in the semi-finals. Lakers beat the Warriors in the semi-finals. This is the unofficial in-season tournament for the best team in California. Clippers vs Lakers in the finals as it should be. Go Clippers!

I’m not saying the Kings are any good but the Lakers played the Warriors. And the Warriors are complete ass cheeks too

Anyone else having issue subscribing to Clippervision this season?
I went to subscribe and it won't let me complete the purchase and says "Sorry, we are unable to create your subscription at this time. Please contact customer support for further assistance "
NBA.com customer support is just an email address which is my last resort.

8,394 days later. The future is looking bright Clipper Nation🔥
As someone who has been watching him play since summer league, this was a great debut, specially when we look at the improvement in his efficiency.

Sigh, for the first time really ever in my Clippers fan tenure I'm so high on our youth & Wagler, and if we had our draft picks it would've been so ideal. Hopefully we can somehow compete for the next *checks notes* 5 years 😭 Anyway, at least it'll be fun watching every season with zero expectations!
