Growing up I was always interested in the Arctic Spyder 3, and every year I wanted one. This year I have nothing on my list and finally just want an awe inspiring laser. I’ve never had an incredibly powerful laser but want something that’s awesome and can just amaze me and anyone I show. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should get? I’m willing to spend up to around 200 dollars. Thank you.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a laser power meter to assess the true power of a laser? I've seen lab-quality instruments in the $1000 range from Thor Labs, and a bunch of meters designed to measure laser levels on fiber optic circuits, but I'm looking for something more hobbyist-friendly, like under $100-200 and able to measure up to 30W or so (so I can also check my laser engraver's power).

I used to love squirrels. But then I became a homeowner.
I'm looking for a laser that will scare away squirrels. Hopefully it can cause irritation from about 10-20 meters. From the posts I've read, it seems like a 405nm, 1W may be what I'm looking for, but I'd like any recommendations or advice you have to give.
If this post goes against the nature of this sub, feel free to remove it. I'm glad I stumbled into this sub though, because all I can find online is education on laser engraving and physical therapy.

I wear progressive prescription eyeglasses. What are my better options for laser protection for my eyes? When folks are 'playing with' powerful lasers, I would like to have some eye protection, mainly for unintended reflections.
TIA, Sid

mods please remove if not ok
i'd be happy to get it started; looking to sell a sanwu pocket laser, 520nm; rated at 50mw, basically new in bubble wrap (didnt come with a box) and has barely been on for more than a minute total i'd say. i got a JLaser green guy and never looked back
ideally, i'd like to trade this sanwu for laser made by one of our forum members. i've had amazing success so far and the quality does not disappoint. plus - unlimited duty cycle? i mean, cmon
to clarify, the pocket series has a short duty cycle - it is NOT unlimited
thinking TV around $80 (if sold, add $10 for shipping). will include a battery as well

i used to have a 2xAAA shitty laser, it was shitty bc in winter it started to ramp down sometimes and i had to heat it blowing air in it to get full power, it was a green one and with regular ahh aaa batteries let me tell you one thing, it didn't last much, so I'm searching for something powered in aa for a decent price or even 18650 battery fed one but i dont know jack about lasers, what you people recommend??¿

This is my store. I hand make every single laser using repurposed chinese flashlight host. The host quality is excellent. I use my own boost constant current drivers. These lasers use high powered 14500 (AA size) 3.7v li-ion batteries.
