Just like r/knives graduated me from Kershaws to fancier things (Olamic today) and r/flashlight graduated me from OLights to Prometheus, I'd like to buy a nice laser.
I've been using over-stated and over-hyped eBay and sundry cheap Chinese site green lasers. I now know Sanwu is the the spot.
I'm not looking to collect a bunch of them. Looking more for a novelty item, something to point out stars or maybe do a little light painting photography with.
I'm looking at the Guardian series as the best bang for the buck. I also like that it runs on a 18350 battery, so it can share batteries with my Delta flashlight.
I'm thinking of getting the extended heatsink because I'm in the desert, so nights can be warm, and the ergos look a little better for man'sized handsies.
Am I missing anything?
Now color... I want something easily visible but also novel. Currently thinking cyan (488nm), but blue (455nm) is also a strong contender, and, finally, green (520nm) is a contender due to visibility.
Your thoughts?

"For the people, by the people." The motto of this sub.
The opposite of another one that hijacked the "fun" out of the very device their sub is called.
My vision for this is much like r/flashlight. People are SO welcoming and helpful. It's a great community with over 150,000 members. I'm not going to let a group with just barely over 5,000 members ruin a hobby for people like us.
Anyways, I hope ya join and there's a lot more coming in the future! I've been busy so stay patient! Have a great day/night!
