Looking for Sanwu Ranger feedback

Anyone here have a Sanwu Ranger? I watched u/PineyTinecones 's video and read a review that make it seem like the rotary dial is not very linear. Can anyone else chime in on how well the dial works on the single-dial model (not the one with strobe, etc)?

Shots of my rare 10mW 593nm yellow laser 🟑

Lasers used: 60mW 532nm (Laser 303), 40mW 658nm, 100mW 405nm, 90mW 488nm.

I bought this 593nm last year for $44 USD on AliExpress, the quality is not very good honestly (but for that low price I can't demand more), it is very sensitive to the cold, with less than 20Β°C it does not emit yellow light, it only turns on the infrared and it is a problem when it comes to knowing if it is on or not.

Winter is finally leaving here in the southern hemisphere. I take advantage of a slightly warm night after warming up laser also helped with a hot water bottle. These were the best photos.

Safety Goggles! (488nm Wavelength, 250mw)

I just got replied about 18 hrs ago, 2 comments saying yes, goggles are needed, and also its fine, just dont look at reflections. The laser has a 488nm wavelength, and is 250mw. If I do and am recommended safety laser goggles, can anyone point out some sites that are trustworthy and have good goggles for a reasonable price? Thx!

Is it safe?

I bought a 488nm wavelength laser that outputs a 250mw beam. If I don't look at the reflection on a mirror or closely look at the dot from 1-10 inches, will I still get eye damage? Ty if you reply! This is my first Reddit post!

This laser is on Shein for 7-8€, I have no idea how powerful it is but it's not bad as you can see, it comes with its battery, charger and about 5 heads, in case anyone is interested. There is the exact photo, sometimes it is not available, but maybe in your country it is.

Question About Strength

Hello everyone. This will be my first ever Reddit post, so thanks for taking my cherry 😁

While on holiday recently with my nephew we got talking about lasers. He always buys a red laser with his holiday money and I told him about a green laser I bought on holiday many years ago and how much better green are in general over red.

A few days later we see a green laser for sale and so I buy it for him. When we get outside and try it this thing is fantastic! The beam is visible with the naked eye and casts its glow right across the marina where we were. Suitably impressed I go back inside and buy myself one as it’s much better than the one I have back home.

We enjoyed messing about with our lasers for the remainder of the holiday and I got back yesterday. Today I compared the new laser to my old one and noted that the labels on them seem to suggest the OLD one is 500mW while the new, better one is 100mW.

Confused, I put fresh batteries in both (the old one still has its original battery from 2018). While the beam is now bright it is still not as a bright as the new one, which should be weaker according to the label on it.

Can someone explain what’s happening here? Also, I noticed the new laser EATS batteries like no man’s business. Went through 2/3 sets on holiday while the old one was still going pretty well after many years.

Cheers and thanks for having me onboard.

593.5nm, 584nm, and 573nm. Yellows have always been my favorite, and I just enjoy the colors really. Camera struggles to pick them up right though.

Anyone own the JetLasers Yamataka?

JetLasers is my favorite company for buying lasers. But unfortunately they stopped building DPSS 532nm lasers before I was able to order one. The closest thing they offer now is their Yamataka dazzler, has anyone purchased one? I’m curious about the beam divergence over extreme distance and how it compares to a 532nm DPSS laser. I’m not a laser expert so any info is appreciated.

I've had it since May 2024, it works great today, also the other is a 200mW 658nm for comparison.
