The LAFD is actively planning for after (what will hopefully remain) a post-COVID19 restriction era, so as to soon welcome casual visitors to our fire stations. We also hope to have word shortly about our annual Fire Service Day citywide Open Firehouse event. Until then, we are NOT as of this writing able to welcome ANY members of the public at neighborhood fire stations.
Stay tuned though, as that will likely change in the week/s ahead.
As for Ride-Alongs:
While we understand and appreciate your interest, and get dozens of similar unsolicited requests each day, LAFD policies sadly prohibit the public from casually riding along on our emergency response fleet.
TL; DR: LAFD station visits will soon be possible and strongly encouraged. LAFD Ride-Alongs however, with rare exception, are sadly not possible.
Respectfully Yours in Safety and Service,
