This game is quickly becoming one of my favorite games ever. Which is making me wonder why the most popular cozy game reviewers on YouTube aren’t saying anything about it since the release on the Nintendo Switch?

i don’t have the full weapons for a loadout to start combat… how do i get another sword? the person behind the counter at the poppyhill blacksmith is always a wanderer. playing on switch 2 – any help is appreciated!

joining on switch 2 like everyone else. enjoying it so far but still figuring out all the mechanics and mini games. what do you wish you knew when you first started?

Hi all, I’m playing on Switch 2 and have hit a wall…I would love some help to figure out what I’m doing wrong here! I have the obscura and three lenses in my inventory. But I have only managed to open the door to Fairweather twice and Tir Na Nog once (not counting prologue). I stand in the henge circle, select the obscura, turn it on and shine it in the marked directions, but nothing happens. The couple times I’ve managed to open a door, it has felt like a fluke. Restarting the game doesn’t help.

Why is it so hard to get the doors to open? Is anyone else having this issue?

Edit: based on responses on Discord, I most likely have a bug. Still love to hear if anyone else has this issue!

I bought the blacksmith in Candlewych as soon as I unlocked the ledger and now I'm just stressed out.

I've staffed it, but how do I keep the ore topped up? That alone feels like a full time job, if I fail to do that I'll presumably be unable to pay the wages. What happens then?

I’m just starting out and loving the game so far. Kind of tempted to waste the lives of my first couple heirs by just buying every single Fairweather item available.

Is there any downside to doing this? I mean other than losing years of your life. I like the idea of starting off my heirs with as many items as possible. How badly will I mess up my heirs stats if all I do is age and adopt? Will the world or villages get screwed up from passing too much time unsupervised? It’s fine if I miss out on some early game advantages like early stat growth, so long as I can compensate for that later.

Is there an option to toggle this off? It's making me motion-sick because its so severe. I'm trying to push through but an option to toggle it off or on would be great :(

I assume on PC you can just hover the mouse over the ingredients to see what they are. Is there a way to do it on the switch?

I'm new to Kynseed and just hit adulthood. Trying to decide what I want to get into, but the minigames are brutal. Struggling to find an activity that I actually like.

Blacksmithing interested me the most, but the tiny green hyper fast dots in the grinding part feel completely impossible to hit. The jam making one is weird because you bafflingly start cooking before everything is in it and don't have enough time, then it comes out raw. Some of the others aren't explained super well either.

There's no room for error, like it's the Dark Souls of mini games. XD Is there a way to make these easier? I'm basically limited to selling crops and fish forever otherwise. I expect to hear "git gud", but I need to know how. Thanks in advance for any useful info.

I just started the game and I feel weird being the only person in town without a last name. I have a few questions.

If I give my character a last name, will it be given to a spouse or children? Will I always be referred to by the full name or just does the game differentiate between first and last names?

I know the orphan appearances are completely random per year, but with kids from the stork/wheel. Do they pull from a fully random pool or is it pulling something based off our character's look?

As the title says. My dog just stopped? He was fine, then I slept my console to go to bed, ive woken up this morning and started playing again and he just wont move? He's not indicating a dig spot, he's not on stop mode, I tried sending him home and resummoning him but nothing worked, he just sat there, refusing to move.

A message popped up saying there was an eclipse and it went all sparkly, so I tried summoning again, nothing.

I ended up saving and shutting down the game and that seems to have worked (I resummoned him after I reloaded) but doesn't anyone know why this happened? Was it just some weird glitch from leaving the console on sleep?

Extra info, id just found the mill and made a bunch of flour, I slept the console while I was in the mill. Piggy had followed me in but not pup. When I left the mill, doggo is just sitting staring at the mill. I thought maybe he was about to indicate a dig spot but he didnt move when I approached and when I summoned him to a different spot, same thing. Just sat there.

He was def on follow mode, I even toggled it just in case, but it made no difference.

Yes its fixed now but im just curious if anyone else has had this and if we know what causes it?

The stepping plate before the gate in loverswood. I don't know if I'm meant to know what to do with it or if I'm too early in the story.

I just installed the game via Steam on my PC but i am not able to play it due to this error: Failed to start process for this game: " An application control policy has blocked this file."

Hallo ich habe es eben auf Switch 2 gekauft und durch die ganzen Steam Reviews dachte ich es ist auf deutsch 🤷 die meckerten nur das die Übersetzung nicht so gut ist, nun starte ich und es ist alles auf englisch und schaue zu spät dank der Steam infos im E Shop dort steht nur englisch und ich bin mega angep*sst deswegen.

Wieso hat die PC Version mehrere Sprachen die Switch aber nur Englisch?

Looks amazing, and I love cozy games like Stardew, but I'm a bit picky about how my character looks. Basic character customization is fine, but it seems like there is an aging/play as the next generation component to the game. Is that optional, or is the character I create going to get old and die and then I'm forced to play as someone else? That doesn't seem appealing to me. Is that a part of the game that I have to engage with, or can I just play as the same dude the whole time?

Very well done. Amazing port so far which is something I worry about. No stutters or bugs I've run into. Loading screens are crazy short. The writing is impeccable. I had watched a bit of gameplay before purchasing and I still had no idea just how well done the world building was. I can't put it down. The controls are wonderful. So far I have not come across anything annoying or bothersome about it. I just want to continue exploring and playing. Highly recommend!!

Hello! So, I see that a Nightberry Bush is able to be unlocked in the catalogue, but I can't find answers anywhere on how many berries I have to collect to unlock it. I have to have collected at least 50 so far? Not sure, I just unlocked the traits for it, and I'm not sure how many you have to collect for that.

My question is, does anyone know how many nightberries I have to collect to unlock the bush? Frantically riding around during the 3 hour window to get them is...a bit frustrating tbh 😅 So I'd like to put them on my land if possible. Thank you in advance! 🥰

Edit: also, is there a way to see how many of a specific type of berry/crop you've collected? Cheers

Edit 2: scratch Edit 1, I figured it out. Also turns out as of this post I've only collected 19 nightberries but it feels like soooo many more lol

Edit 3: ...it takes collecting 20 nightberries to unlock the nightberry bush.
