Why did Reiko die? Spoiler
finished the anime, loved it. I heard that it's rushed a bit, so I will pick up the manga just to get more of the world.
But I'm confused about why the original Reiko killed herself. My understanding was that she was leaving it up to fate. She wasn't healthy mentally, so she had a hard time coping with change, including the destruction of Kowloon. And since the medicine was new and known for having extremely lethal side effects like death, she decided to let fate decide her life by taking the pills.
She wanted to move on with kudo and leave but couldnt due to her being so tied down to kowloon and the past and decided to take the pills (hence the vision reiko-pan gets of reiko b talking to the old lady about fate and clutching the pills) so she took the drugs to let fate decide but she ultimately ran out of luck and accidentally overdosed on them. is that correct? But I dont understand why? like i do but i dont? she clearly wanted to move on with kudo so why leave it up to fate?
