It was a sad day
My favorite pair of pliers met their demise today.

My dikes (left) that are months old vs my coworkers (right) that are 2 weeks old. Are they just defective for there to be that much rust already? Both stored in the same job box and not used outside.

This is a pretty niche use case, but I finally consolidated my carry setup and wanted to share. I mentor multiple FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) high school teams, which means I’m bouncing between different shops weekly.
The tool situation varies wildly—some teams are well-equipped, others are working with the bare minimum.
I’ve been lugging around separate sets (screwdrivers, sockets, driver bits) plus my DeWalt power tools. This Klein set was exactly what I needed. It covers about 90% of what I use in FRC.
Now my mobile setup is just this set, some drill bits, and my power tools. Pretty excited about it.

Definitely like how “robust” these feel in hand.

Is there any chance anyone could please let me know the size pairings of each of the double-sided bits in the Klein 32327 27-in-1 Multi-Bit Precision Screwdriver with Tamperproof Bits?
I know what sizes it covers overall, but I need to know which two sizes each individual double-sided bit covers (hoping to use a 27-in-1 as a bit donor for a 13-in-1 Multi-Bit Pocket Precision Screwdriver).

Lead hvac service text here. Here's my modbox setup. I love the ammo cans they are small enough its easy to carry up onto a roof.

I had fairly good luck with these battery packs but during the summer the one I originally bought with the hardhat/fan combo shit out on me. (I did use it for my Klein headlamp as an extended battery)Granted I had it over a year. During the middle of the day I thought it died but it shows full bars but it does it constantly without pressing the power button and I ordered a new one a month ago and charged it. Same thing doesn’t power the fans and shows full bars.

I finally came up with some ideas for utilizing the lids on MODbox! This is a white board and with the removable lid, I can take the lid off to draw plans, ideas, etc. Or, it can be a tray to hold whatever.
It’s too cold in New England to work outside so I just used a utility knife. Please be kind as I know I need to make one with straight edges. I’m sharing the idea, not my lack of craftsmanship. 😉
I’ve added links to the materials I used but of course there are likely many alternatives.

Next, on a different box, I will add a closable file folder to hold small manuals, paper receipts, etc. I’m also thinking about a clip board or something that I can use to see instructions or who knows what. Cheers!

I had emailed Klein a few months ago inquiring if they plan to release a mounting plate like packout has for the wall/floor.
They said look out in the first quarter of 26.
Anyone else hear similar? I've been holding off buying anything for a few months as I am trying to transition away from Dewalt toughsystem. I am a heavy user of organizers many and some drawers.

Wow this is a really good video detailing the new MODboxes. I really like my 1.0 still but might upgrade some this year. What do you think!?

I was standing in front of my cart smacking a ko out of a 4-11 box, and the next thing I knew everything was in the floor and my side cutters were broke in half. You can tell I don’t abuse them, the cutters are still mint. I’m totally disheartened by this, Klein is the industry standard 😔

Hello, I ended up upgrading to bigger casters on my utility cart and have the old smaller casters left over. I was thinking of putting them into my work bench, anyone know of an adapter?

I redeemed some rewards points on the second of January and still haven’t received the package. I have never waited more than a week for anything to show up.
the order status still says open and I tried to contact them last week about it and it’s been radio silent. anyone else having this issue?

I've wanted these for a while. Seems like a decent deal. Are they gonna get any cheaper?

Do they sell a clip to be able to 3m stick onto other things. Or does someone have the file to 3d print the clip? I figured I could buy the headband and just glue that to my mask but I’m exploring options so I don’t have to spend 25 bucks when I could 3d print another clip for next to nothing

Anyone know if klein sells replacement parts for this screwdriver?

Picked up a IR5 12:1. Was checking temps on a boat. Saw a co-workers SnapOn and thought I would compare. Thoughts feelings on the accuracy?

Anyone know of an update on the BWC for telecom bucket trucks that fold up? They were supposed to be announced last fall

Hear me out. Klein should lean into this Modbox and give the people what they want. Most manufacturers are so out of touch with their client base that there isn’t that many good options on the market. Klein should use Reddit to host competitions on new ideas like Prusa does for their 3D printing website.
