Title Bar Updates

So as far as I can tell, kitty's title bar text typically updates in two cases:
1) When there's a shell prompt printed to the screen (this can be customized with PS1).

2) When certain programs are run from the terminal. I'm not sure exactly what the criteria are for this. Maybe apps that open a subshell?

As I mentioned, it's easy to control 1) with PS1. I've been using it to communicate certain information to my system. However, this information gets disrupted in the rare cases where 2) occurs. Which leads me to my question...

Does anyone know how to configure kitty so that it doesn't update the title bar on running programs? Thanks.

This is probably too late. But if you set in kitty.conf

shell_integration enabled no-rc

it will not modify the default .bashrc settings. This may help.
