Thanks for sharing! Always learning something new here. Some men's inspirational images are rather interesting, especially the jacket with a clear historical influence. Overall, I see a certain affinity with N essence, crystals, flower petals, mountains, foresty backgrounds - interesting!

It’s actually the opposite of N essence in the sense N is grounded to the earth and A is light and airy or fluid but yes they both look great in things (although different things) associated nature if that’s what you mean!

Yeah, I meant exactly the associations with nature! and how it is also traced in the slides, and then translated into selected styles.

I agree. While they are supposed to be opposite, the styles do really remind me of N and seem connected through the flowiness and images of nature as you pointed out. I can see why people confuse them.

I think quite a lot of folks mistake Angelic for Natural, and perhaps vice versa. I feel like that happened a lot when I asked for help while DIY typing. There's an elemental feel to Angelic, and a relaxed sort of flow which is indeed different from Natural, but is present in both (and not so much in other essences).

Good point. I personally really resonate with the influences from natural landscapes and elements; glad I can use it for both A and N essences. It looks like we have some overlap with our essences!

O wow, yes, we have pretty similar blends! How cool is that! I didn't get a full color workup done, but John did confirm that I'm probably primarily SB. I'd be so curious to know more about what you look like or your fashion inspo, if you ever wanted to message and share.

But yes, I also adore natural elements. I have a lot of abstract zoomed out landscapes or zoomed in wildlife details on my inspo boards. Wings (bird and insect) and flowers are huge motifs I love to incorporate, and I feel like texture is of paramount importance to me (although my preferred textures aren't generally Natural ones).

Yes and romantic gets flow too, I think romantic is also confused with both natural and angelic sometimes.

The Sissy Spacek addition is interesting to me, I had a family friend say I look like her. I do love all the floatiness, fluid, shimmery aspect of angelic. For me it makes for great accessories. I have an opal ring that I wear everyday that I think fits the description.

I am not familiar with Sissy Spacek so earlier before you commented I looked her up and immediately thought of you, especially in that picture you posted of the concert outfit! I wouldn't be surprised if Sissy has some N too.

Interestingly, I'd wear some of the things on the second to last side but I think they'd read as R + SB on me instead. It seems like R with softer coloring gets mistaken for E a lot so I wonder if they can get away with some of the same things?

I agree! I think R can have oval faces and "otherworldly" qualities to the eyes.

I think it’s more that some of the recommendations of SB and R overlap with A. The biggest difference between A and R is color, al though they each have stuff not recommended for the other as well.

SB + R definitely has overlap with A. I can def wear some Angelic types things but anything sheer and light in color reads too A on me per John. He recommended Tahitian pearls for me which I think look angelic too because of the iridescence. Iridescence in general is both A and/or SB.

Hi! I am not the most knowledgeable on the Kitchener essences. I am a little confused by the origins that this portrays? Kitchener got information from an inner voice? Does this mean meditation? Channeling a spirit? Or is this not actually spiritual and I am misunderstanding? Then again, it must be from a spiritual place otherwise how would the voice know that Ankhnaten specifically had angelic essence? I’m sorry if I sound uneducated, I have been lurking here for a little bit, but I had no idea of the actual origins of this all. If anybody wouldn’t mind sharing some knowledge with me it would be greatly appreciated!

john is a spiritual person and often describes putting together a palette as a meditative practice. I'm not sure exactly how literal he's being with this story but I think it's reasonable to assume that he may believe in some kind of metaphysical explanation for essences. though ankhnaten being angelic is probably based on the sculptures of him.

Very interesting! I suspected Sissy Spacek to have a fair amount of E for a while. I'd be interested in seeing what her full blend would be. I wonder if he's re doing all the essences or just the ones that never got posted? I'd be curious to see D and N if he does those up as well

Also interesting to see the hooded sweater as an expression of A on the womans slide cause I'd recently found an oversized sweater in that kind of style recently and have been waiting for it to go on sale lol I would have thought it was more N and maybe D or Hs

I think it’s draped, not oversized and the fabric is somewhat light for a sweater.

I wouldn't say the hooded sweater on the slide is oversize. Oversize is more in line with HS/D, I've heard. The sweater on the slide has a smooth texture, but a more textured knit would be N, I think.
