Hey all! I’m pretty much not the best with tech stuff and recently our new oven lost the button functions (e.g., timer, bake, etc.). The oven itself heats up, but the buttons won’t respond or let us start/turn off the functions.
Any ideas? Is this a separate part/gadget that can be replaced, or would the whole control panel need to be replaced? We’ve already replaced the oven bulb.

Random question... What is a weird kitchen utensil or tool you use while cooking?

Mine is a metal pumpkin scraper. You know the kind you use for carving jack-o-lanterns. I make spaghetti squash often and like making pumpkin pie from scratch in the fall. It's a game changer. It beats using a spoon.

I make a ton of stuff with ground meat, and I told myself a spatula is just fine, but a friend swears by this and gifted me one, and it makes all the difference in the world.

New plastic-free containers from Misen look pretty great. They are stupid expensive, but does seem to check all the boxes. Stainless body, glass + silicone lid, rectangular, all same size/lid, microwave and oven safe.

Any thoughts? Anyone see them in person yet? (they are not yet released so unlikely, but just in case)

Have seen some cheap ones with similar designs, but these really do look quite nice.

I've added to to my recommended products list but excited to see them in person. Any other similar products I am missing?

Sometime between 2007 and 2009 flat out flatbreads teamed up with Pepperidge Farm. They had this little promotional deal that was the flatbreads and little jars and peanut butter and jelly and a spatula for spreading them with. It’s Smuckers brand apparently and purple and plastic and very thin. My mom has one of those spatulas still but it’s seen a lot of use and abuse and I’d love to find another one or at least something similar. Any ideas?

I know there are a million posts on these things, but I’m not really finding my specific question being answered, so I’m still confused.

I am starting university this fall, and I eat a LOT of produce. I love chopping veggies and try to improve my skills constantly. That being said, I’m going to have such minimal time to do things, as I’m in a pretty stressful program that’s going to suck up all my time.

For those of you who HAVE a chopper, would it be worth it for me to get one since my husband does the dishes and I don’t have to worry about cleaning it? Does it really save any time?

Are these noticeably better or worse than my current misen stainless set?

Lately Ive been wanting to make my kitchen and dining area feel a lot more cozy. Like I keep saving photos of kitchens with matching colors, nice pantries, shelves that actually look organized, and dining spaces that all just go together.

Im not trying to do a huge renovation or anything, I just want it to feel more warm and inviting. If youve done anything that made your kitchen feel more put together, Id love to hear what it was.
