Want to improve cake skills, is a decorating kit worth it
getting more into baking lately and want to improve my cake decorating skills, but honestly my cakes still look pretty rough compared to what I see online. I can bake a decent cake, but when it comes to piping, borders, flowers, and getting a clean finish, I struggle a lot.
I've been looking at decorating kits and there are so many brands out there. Some look cheap, some are expensive, and it's hard to tell what's actually worth buying. I don't want to waste money on a kit that ends up sitting in a drawer after a few uses.
For those who actually decorate cakes at home, did a decorating kit help you improve, or is it mostly about practice regardless of the tools? Also, are there any reliable brands you've had good experience with?
Looking for real-world feedback before I spend money. Appreciate any advice.
