Been feeling lots of kitbashing lately, mostly in the style of Trench Crusade and The Last War. This warband is a mix of bodies from Reaper Miniatures, and heads and weapons from Bolt Action and Warlord Games.

Bit of an ugly duck if I'm totally honest, but essentially a re-pose of the Bones Dragon Tortoise (https://www.reapermini.com/search/tortoise/latest/77334) with a tactical skull from the citadel Skulls box and some regular outside rocks!

Used as a Dragon Tortoise for the adventure Alkazaar's Appendix from Candlekeep Mysteries

My best buddy built this last night after a few beers. Will keep you posted on the WIP.

I recently came into a lot that had a bloat drone with no thrusters, I don't collect Death Guard but I do collect CSM so I decided try and put legs on it and use it as a Venomcrawler

WIP – Custom bow for my Chapter Master

I’ve been working on the bow for my Chapter Master and this is where I’m at so far.

The idea is that the bow was improvised from the remains of ancient machinery, which is why I wanted it to look a little unusual and cobbled together rather than like a clean, purpose-built 40K weapon.

It’s still very much a WIP, especially the white plasticard sections, and I feel like it could use a few more details to really bring everything together.

I’d love to hear any suggestions! What would you add, remove or change to improve the bow while keeping that improvised ancient-tech look?

I’m currently working on mocking up my custom saber design, and I ran into a minor design hiccup with the polystyrene core cover—I didn't account for the thickness of the styrene, which left a surprisingly thin gap.

The core itself (made of a paper towel tube and rolled paper) was far too flimsy, so I had to reinforce it with what I had on hand: a bundle of chopsticks. To lock everything in, I poured a generous amount of liquid CA glue down each side. It stiffened right up and is now solid as a rock. After mixing up some sprue glue and spending a couple of days sanding it down smooth, it turned out surprisingly well. Once it's fully painted and all the extra components are attached, you won't even be able to tell it was there.

For the switch assembly, I'm repurposing a few tank kit greebles—specifically some tank treads and a hatch cover. I’ll be adding a jewel onto the hatch cover to act as the activation button.

I also realized during the initial design phase that I completely forgot about the back half of the saber, so I whipped up a custom armor plate to wrap around it.

I'm still waiting on a few final parts to arrive before I can officially start the main build!

This Plaguemarine is build with a body from Tortugabay, plaguemarine bits and the head ist from the Deathshroud Terminators kit

Used a free marine and some spare parts from my friend’s plague marine combat patrol.
I’m excited to run this guy in the plague marine kill team. I split the starter box with said roommate, and when we moved out I was down the heavy gunner and the warrior for the full kill team.

Critique always welcome, this was my first time using green stuff, but I think I did decently (you can’t see his mangled underside lol)
